Hmmm.... I'm wondering if my SARS kitty pic will become a reality. Be well, Choc. Oh, and take care of your pet, too.

He will!

Ya know, I don't know if it's just me, but the cases in the USA seem to be poo-poo'ed on TV. SARS is not a joke.. We drove by the school today, and saw 8 or so TV trucks with their long dish extended..

I wonder why CNN isn't covering this? Maybe they will....

SARS is not a joke. The economic impact to Ontario was staggering.

SARS is far more widespread than many believe and a lot more serious than we are told.

I thought the place it was in the US was primarily New York state----Nassau county to be specific. They shipped some of the virus here to Alabama to Southern Medical Research. The government wants them to work on develoing a vaccine.

West Nile? I don't think so, Gangrell.

whoa... well what Animal said is 100% true. And the problem also is... let's say you have a strong immune system or a strong body in general, while you may not be affected by the virus, you can be a carrier and infect other people and you don't know it... sad...

This is one virus that people need to be educated about.

West Nile...nope...still running wild.

Ever notice the bugs get smarter?

I'm just wondering how this big mess of plagues happen to get across the ocean. I mean I know SARS was carried over by travelers and such, but how did West Nile get over here?

*Thinks...* Hmm, no mosquitoes in winter so there isn't any way to spread the West Nile virus, makes sense I guess.
