Hmmm.... I'm wondering if my SARS kitty pic will become a reality. Be well, Choc. Oh, and take care of your pet, too.

Ya know, I don't know if it's just me, but the cases in the USA seem to be poo-poo'ed on TV. SARS is not a joke.. We drove by the school today, and saw 8 or so TV trucks with their long dish extended.. I wonder why CNN isn't covering this? Maybe they will.... CHOC! MASK TIME! |

SARS is not a joke. The economic impact to Ontario was staggering.
SARS is far more widespread than many believe and a lot more serious than we are told.

I thought the place it was in the US was primarily New York state----Nassau county to be specific. They shipped some of the virus here to Alabama to Southern Medical Research. The government wants them to work on develoing a vaccine.

whoa... well what Animal said is 100% true. And the problem also is... let's say you have a strong immune system or a strong body in general, while you may not be affected by the virus, you can be a carrier and infect other people and you don't know it... sad...

I'm just wondering how this big mess of plagues happen to get across the ocean. I mean I know SARS was carried over by travelers and such, but how did West Nile get over here?
*Thinks...* Hmm, no mosquitoes in winter so there isn't any way to spread the West Nile virus, makes sense I guess. |
