We went to Jamaica, and discovered that on the islands, people who are
NOTon a honeymoon are the exception! We had a lot of fun, and the only regret was hooking up with two other couples (also honeymooners) who kept wishing they were back in the US. Part of the excitement of being someplace else is trying different things

A week in a cabin on Lake Coeur d'alene in Idaho! Amber's parants cabin, so it was free. A wonderful time. Mountains, lake, privacy, peace, etc...

Wow, lots of answers to this one! This is great!
I wish we could afford the trips abroad (Fiji, Europe.... all sounds great!) but time and money don't allow it. Aww, LordK, my honey says he'd love a honeymoon like yours! He's originally from Idaho. AngelofDeath...yuk- being sick on a boat isn't much fun, glad that didn't last the whole trip! NZ sounds fantastic and I've known some people who LOVED it there and a few who live there... but that's something we'll have to put on the list of future vacations or anniversary trips for now.

Hey thats cool. The cabin we stayed at is at the very southern end of the lake in Hayburn state park. Very nice place.

Anyone ever been to the Finger Lakes for vacation or honeymoon?
Can anyone from Canada recommend romantic and not too expensive places there? [ 01-19-2004, 11:19 PM: Message edited by: Cloudbringer ]

We are considering Southern Florida + the Keys for our April honeymoon. Disney World, Everglades, snorkeling, beach lounging and a few nights in a quiet bungalow all sound like heaven to me!
We ruled out a cabin in Novia Scotia due to the cold. Also on our list of possible spots: New Orleans, Las Vegas, Islands of the coast of Georgia.

Bah! I had a post all set and when I clicked to send it I ended up being timed out of the forum...
Anyway, Hi Chewy! My fiance and I had thought of Disney too, but he is now permanent at the job he was temping so he won't have enough leave time accrued yet and we'll only have a week. I've been to Disney and know you really need a little more than that! April! Yup, that might be chilly. Ours will be in May but I'm not sure it'd be alot warmer! We've considered Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, which we're told is beautiful, too.
