the Ireland conflict will, IMHO, never end for one simple reason: Money. The whole "resistance" is funded by money from a variety of illegal activities such as drug smuggling and weapons dealing. Too many people make substantial amounts of money out of the whole thing to want it to end, including the mercenaries and terrorists involved. This means that when a viable peace process seems to be succeeding there will suddenly be a new terrorist group appear to re-ignite things much like the recent surfacing of the "real IRA" as opposed to the IRA of old.

The funny thing and rather ironic is that we have British annoying campaigners going on about how Tibet should govern itself. Well look at Northern Ireland! You don't see the Chinese gov, supporting the IRA.

Frankly, Avatar, I don't think the British gov't gives a tinker's cuss about whether Northern Ireland remains British or not. It is the Northern Irish Protestants who want to remain British. Mainly, I think, because they are afraid.

Hmmm that's interesting! If you wrote that on the broadsheets, it will be quite a stirr for the morning TV. I think the LABOUR gov. doesn't give a popcorn about N.Ireland.

The Middle east conflict will nevah stop beacuse, israel was made with stolen palestinian land. Never mind these people had lived here 2000 years. The current policy followed by israel in the middle east is One of ethnic cleansing, assasination and land grabbing. Much like the Nazis really. Until israel is disbanded and all the land given back to the rightful owners there will be no peace.

Hey
I agree there is some pretty stupid sh*t going on in Ireland and the middle east. In Ireland it is Christian angainst Christian. People are too stuburn and blind to see that there "Political" leaders are playing with thier minds. This fued should have ended a long time ago. Politics and God should never be mixed. As for isreal that can never stop. Their leaders are doing the same to them. No matter what land was who's God created us the same we should treat each other that way. Unless people can put aside the past and remmeber we are all Human and created equal wars will always go on. This is just my opinion I am not trying to offend anyone. |
