Only Australian Rules Football. Could call itself football. The clarifier being they are Australian Rules. The offical correct term for the sport you call Soccer, is FOOTBALL. Doesn't matter what your preference is. Calling it soccer is incorrect. Only tow nations of the world call it soccer. Australia and America. Both those countries have it as a minority code. Yet football is the most popular sport in the world, played and watched by more people than any other sport. Manchester United is the most popular and recognised sports franchise in the world. Yes even more than the Yankees. On an international forum then, when we are dealing with people from all over the globe, it is polite to refer to the sport as it's proper name "Football" and not impose a bizzarre cultural imperialism by perpetuating incorrect labels. Cheers and thanks Yorick the Aussie (the snake biting it's own tail) |

http://www.ihf.info/CDA/home,2,0,,en.html No wall, yet the term is officially "handball". What you're calling handball is "court handball" or something. Wallball? |
