Why hasn't the world's media and the UN jumped on this?? Are they really that controlled?

I posted a musing on the UN in the war forum about their motivation too...

I'm trying to imagine what would happen, if something like that would happen over here...

You know what the worst part of it all is? The article that johnny has found is dated on the 19th of December 2002. The matter seems to have been overlooked completely by the International media.

Not exactly Groj, like i said, i've heard it before a few times in the media. I just think nobody took it serious at that time.

It's still an article from the BBC, so there has been *some* International media coverage on this subject; just not nearly enough. This should have been frontpage-with-bold-letters-news, not page-11-"and-in-other-short-news-today".

I have heard this as well but kinda dismissed it..
It couldn´t come true now could it?

If it did, will it mean that brown shirts and riding pants are comming back in style as well?

History is a wonderful tool. Make sure you use it..

According to the article it isn't Muslims, as a group, who have to register.

Under the new US immigration rules, all male immigrants aged 16 and over from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Sudan and Syria had to register with authorities by Monday unless they had been naturalised as citizens.

In order to be a legal immigrant, doesn't everyone from everywhere have to register anyway?

Hmm, ok, so why do they have to register twice?
It's still a race/religion based call as the countries listed are Islamic States.

As screwed up as the Immigration Agency can be, everyone probably needs to register at least twice.

It's based on nationality, not race or religion. The double registration is based on the threat assessment from that region.

I understand what your saying, but I'm not sure it's much different than the "special attention" given to immigrants from the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
