He is. He's pretty popular in all of Europe though...England included.

I think Robin Williams was much funnier when he was still on cocaine. Prolly a good thing he stopped doing it tho'. He wouldn't be very entertaining dead.

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one here who caught this latest special.

I was laughing so hard I was literally crying and I could barely breathe throughout most of his act. My throat hurt from laughing so hard!!! I love the way he starts out on one joke, skips here and there a bit, but manages to tie them all up neatly in a little package of pure hilarity! He was nearly rabid by the end of his act, he'd worked himself up into such a frenzy!

I always prefered his stand up comedy over his movies. Hes a good actor but hes a much better comedian. I havent seen this one yet but hopefully it will be out on video in Australia pretty soon.

The one from 1983 was AWESOME.. Thats some pretty damn good improvisation. Most difficult thing a comedian can do. I used to be on the drama team in school and we'd go on tournaments and that was my favourite event. TOUGH. He earned my respect with the quality of his improvs.

"I will go touch myself anon" That 3 Mile Island thing from that video tape was Excellent

Hi johnny!

I loved his movies too ("What are we gonna do now Sonny?" From Survivors(?) with Walter Matthau)

If you've never seen his stand-up though you are really missing out...if I remember and can get my mic back from KHaN for a little while, I'll record at least his take on the creation of golf so that I can post the text here.
Vidoes of his old stand-up should be available somewhere...look for them!
Thanks Minno, i will !

I believe the routine I am about to mention is pre-1980's (maybe pre-1981 lol...I do believe I was in Indiana when I saw it and I left there in 1980) anyway, I wonder if you've seen it...it is the one that stands out most in my mind when recalling his original HBO Specials...anyway, he mentions that he is asked by many people how he can do improv and he describes his brain as a computer...then he starts acting like he is changing disks and hops from one off the wall subject to another, going faster and faster until he is completely winded and then he just turns and screams at the audience "What do you want from me, I'm only human!" Awesome.
