Tell your boss/supervisor...they may insist that an ambulance take you immediately. They have the right idea. Do Not Stop, Do Not Game On Line: Go To Hospital, Go Directly to Hospital....

This counts as an emergency!

My workday ended five hours ago and I'm perfectly fine now. It only lasted for a few minutes and I have had it a few times before and it seems to pass. I'll still see a doctor though.

Thanks for the consideration guys but your're starting to scare me. I don't believe this is an emergency but, again, I'll make an appointment with the doc. as soon as possible.

I got two words for you. DOCTOR NOW!

Don't play around with something like this. The retina and internal parts of your eye don't register pain, ANY visual disturbance could be something serious! Even if it's not in the eye, ANYTHING that causes you to lose vision could be something serious. You only get two eyes in life bud, so don't gamble with them! I'm serious, get to a medical professional ASAP!

This sounds almost like a mild stroke. Where was the numbness?

edit: oh yeah and like everyone else said, get you arse to the doctor's office

Update on the very interesting topic that is my health.

Well, I went to the doctor's office and he said it was probably just migraine. You can , it seems, have migraine without the usual headache, 'Ocular migraine' or something it's called by the experts.

Anyway my doctor is gonna send me a letter of referal to a eye specialist to make sure that everything is OK, just in case.

BTW thanks again for your consideration. I just hope the second examination doesn't reveal anything new ( and horrible.)

I was going to celebrate this joyful news with a cold one, but I seem to have runned out of those.

just a quick 2c.. i found it ironic for you that you work in the hospital you know . some say that doctors or nurses are the worst patients themselves

Excellent Stratos. I'm glad it was nothing serious.

If this should occur to anyone else, do get in touch with your physician immediately. But don't panic. Most often it's not the worst case scenario when this happen. Anything, and I do mean anything, can cause temporary blindness. We don't know much about the brain yet.
