The cloak of mirroring rebounds horrid wilting Memnoch!
My ranger could kick that mage into the gutter..... But the mage would turn him into crutons for his evening soup after wards! ------------------ Kneel before the biggest cheese in the world, ALL HAIL CHEESE! |

Cast a couple hakeshar(sp) and hope for them to eat the cloak of mirroriing hehe. Also if you have robe of vecna and amulet of power it would take 5 rounds to cast timestop. But i don't think cloak of mirroring reflects AE(area effect) spells.

You have no idea how sick of I am of people trumpeting the cloak of mirroring the most sickening overpowered item in the game, its for the cheese monsters.
oh by the way I think your immunities are 40% and finally barbarian rage dosnt affect timestop or imprisonment the beserker rage does though ------------------ |

I'm pretty sure that Cloak of Cheating does not reflect AOE spells. The spell as to be DIRECTLY cast at you for it to be repelled. If not AbiDalzims, then Incendiary Cloud or something similar. Or I could just cast imprisonment, which will end it. Barbarian rage does not protect against imprisonment, Berserker Enrage does (for some strange reason). Anyway the point I'm making is that it will be a totally circular argument, as you can always buff up a character to beat another one in PvP. The TRUE test is with no special buffs like Cloak of Cheating or Protection from Magic scrolls etc. Though it can be fun arguing (for some). PS. I just noticed that your stat totals add up to 104, madmartigan. Pretty impressive, mate! You must have been rerolling for quite a while! ------------------ [This message has been edited by Memnoch (edited 06-03-2001).] |

LOLSFHKASARLMSFLBP => LAUGHING OUT LOUD SO FREAKING HARD KOOL AID SPOOGED AROUND ROOM LIKE MONEY SHOT FROM LOW BUDGET PORNO
OK, Who let the munchkins out? Talk about CHEESE !!! 104 Stat Total? How can he wear RED DRAGON scale? Correct me If I'm wrong, but the Barbarian can't wear it... (It's counted as plate mail, isn't it?) 2 Rings of GAXX ??? You know, I would EASILY put Perin against him. 94 Stat Points, Only played through once. NO RING OF GAXX. NO CHEESE AT ALL... I'll match you levels, and let you have all the items you asked for. You won't ever touch me... Here's why. GRANDMASTERY of Longbow. Combined with the Called Shot ability. Combined with my Mana Bow , Arrows of Dispelling and Biting. No problems... Arrows of Biting, take 30% of Max hit points within 20 sec of hit. The poison makes YOU pause, once per round. AND I can put 5 in you per round (GrandMastery bounus, plus Boots of Speed Bonus) Like I said, no problems ------------------ |

Now, Madmartigan ( I love the name, BTW)
Don't take offence if I came off strong in my first post. Just know that ANY character can fall to another. and, I take special animosity towards manufactured gods... I'm sure you are a great guy, but PLEASE tell me you're not playin this character... ------------------ |

Is it me or does the guy have every cheapskate weapon in the game? I'm all for using all available tools but that guy is decked out with possibly every item in the game worth using. Its like powergaming on ecstacy..
Personally I'd be more impressed if he used non-standard equipment (which does not include blackrazor, boots of speed, the cloak of mirroring etc) While the barbarian could pound away at a little mage or cleric, he'd fall against another warrior. A lvl 40 kensai without any armor or gauntlets or shields OR a lvl 40 monk's quivering palm would mop the floor with his hide easily. ------------------ Why? |

Well I would say that the one that wins the initiative would win the fight. First strike can disrupt mage concentration and mage first spell can end the whole fight!
And don´t forget that at lvl 40 guys have so tupidily high saving throws that you have to cast spells with no saves alowed to get anything to happen.. And, a level 40 barbarian could still throw a mage of a cliff... ------------------ Yawning lazywolf dreaming about nice little fairies...zzzzz |

dude, if the mage has absolute immunity, that barbarian cant hit him. this leaves 4 rounds open for any spell possible (preferably non-saving throw or 1/2 dam w/ saving throw). this includes Meteor Storm, Abi Dalzims, Skull trap (still damaging even w/ save). the cloak wont reflect that no matter what, and to madmartigan, i would like to suggest gauntlets of AC3 for use
