I prefer MSN to trillian...but I use trillian cos ICQ is annoying, and my stubborn friend stears clear of any Microsoft products...but I find MSN is the best, especially with the smilies, though I prefer the forum grin. ( )

ICQ is my favourite simply because of all the friends I've made using it...

Yeah use Trillian cos then you can access all of the services without having loads of different apps installed. Who cares if you can have backgrounds or "cool" smilies as long as you can get your text messages to be seen by the other person? Well even if you care now, you will grow out of it

Trillian rocks. Nothing beats being online so easy with irc, icq, aim and msn.

MSN, for its' simplicity.
I tried ICQ, and found it to be too unuserfriendly. AIM does not exist in this realm. I used to have Yahoo Msger, but lack of contacts caused it to be buried. |

Never heard of trillian! I use MSN (have since it came out) but i recently downloaded AIM for a roleplay board (Oasis!) that everyone used it.
Does anyone use mIRC? Just wondering? I mean like someone who has their computer on the whole time could make a "chat room" and all of their mates could log into it.

I've always used MSN and have no problems with it. I haven't got the intention to go use something else, and I really don't think that the Instant Message Services are that important. There's a real life out there you know
