I did notice that my polar bear had 4 ApR, but I didn't make any connections at the time. My F/D has been sitting just shy of 7th lvl spells for a while now - the jump from 750 000 to 1 500 000 is just too huge, especially with a multiclass. I'll hang out and kill undead near the idol for a little while. She will be levelling up soon.

What puzzles me even more than the last phrase of Dundee's comment is that Aerich apparently understands it... -------------------- What's a party, without a song? Bards ROCK! Party On!! [/QB]
|

Cheese = cheesy tactics.
Like the use of Otiluke's Resilient Sphere before the patch - monsters would not switch targets even though they couldn't hurt a character. Also like a water elemental shapechange + the belt that gives slashing resistance + War Chant giving 100+% slashing resistance. With 8 static charges going. Leading the charge against drowned dead. I used a new combo against the fire salamanders recently - Protection from Fire + Resist Fire/Cold + druid shapechange to winter wolf draws their attention, bard stands behind and casts Cone of Cold; druid takes no damage from cold or fire, salamanders die. Took out Shikata and five others with one shot.

I may have heard about this before. Dispel?
If it isn't that, I don't have a clue. Please tell me.

Dundee,
Thanks. I've been feeling rather slow, lately: especially over not figuring out your general statement about the MC F/D. But I still am feeling S-L-O-W, because I know you two are talking about a cheesy trick with the F/D; and even though I own one AND Aerich has (evidently) given the answer straight out, I can not figure it out; and I think it is because I am not taking advantage of it, or I am and don't realize it. Please clue me in. -------------------- What's a party, without a song? Bards ROCK! Party On!! [ 03-04-2005, 08:38 AM: Message edited by: NobleNick ] |

Eh? I could have sworn you already know about this, but I'm too tired to search for the relevant thread. Anyhoo, just cast Dispel Magic on your Druid when he/she is shapeshifted. The 'magic' paw/claw/whatever will disappear and your shapeshifted Druid can now use his/her equipped weapon.
I'm pretty sure I told you this already. I seem to recall that you were pretty excited about being to use a sling for your Druid while in Elemental form. |
