Very true, I think that NWN was a year or so past it's initial release date, not that I'm trying to scare anyone.

but if it's gone gold the further delays aren't by bioware but by the company that makes the boxes and copies the games isn't it? or does bioware do that theirselves?

I apologize for the confusion and for locking up this thread. It should and can be left open for discussion.

So far as I know that would be correct. QA is done, or it wouldn't be sent for duplication, packaging, and shipping hooray! Curiosity, is it an expansion, like TOB, or more like IWD2? I know the toolset stuff will be addin/addon, but will SOU's campaign require NWN?

Yes, SoU will require the original NWN to play. It adds to the existing information to make it larger and with more options.

Here is the FAQ about this game.

What the link Larry posted does not tell you is that you will have a new cd key with SoU also. I own four copies of NWN so I am going to need to buy four copies of the expansion. I know software piracy has brought us to this but I do not have to like it.

Firstly I think you can use the one CD key for all your expansions..
Secondly, why do you own four copies of the one game? The reason I ask is because you are legally allowed to make copies (burn) of your games once you do not give them to someone else and/or sell them. For personal use, basically.
You can use the one CD-key for all copies too.

I may be wrong on this but last time I checked (for BG2) it came from Bioware themselves.

SpiritWarrior, NWN uses the CD key to login to the server. Its impossible to play multiplayer with more than one of the same CDkey in use. I dont know but strongly suspect the same is true over LAN games.

Also, you may want to check the ToS, because while copying may or may not be legal (NWNS EULA forbids it explicitly IIRC), actualy running the same copy of the game twice is most definately software piracy, and discussion of that is forbidden here.

Thats true. But I don't think it is illegal to use CD KEYS you found on the net in LAN games, if it is legal to copy the game for your own use.
