This is weird. What I said before isn't always true on my machine. Now I will say that about 30% of the time I don't get experience for quick kills. I walked into a room under improved invisibility and cast circle of death, in a different spot I tried the same tactic but used earthquake, both times against weak low level characters, had about 6 automatic kills each time- they never knew I was there but I got the XP. In fact, the more I experiment with this kind of thing, the more it seems like you have a better chance of not recieving XP if you are killing one stronger enemy unaware than a bunch. Furthermore, the former example is not even true 70% of the time, but sometimes it still happens. Weird.
