I pledge my undying love to you, Memnoch, for knowing the difference between "Heracles" and "Hercules".

ROTFL, Illumina you're so..err..easy to please!
LS- we would sit and draw diagrams to figure out what was NSEW in those silly games. Iron Greasel- really? They make text only games for today's computers? Now that's interesting! New ones or are they remakes of the classics, maybe?

Yes Nachty - that was my first game - you are now in the dark, you are about to be eaten by a GRUE!!! And then you had something like 3 turns to light something or "gulp".

I played Zork not too long ago! Obviously I'm spoiled being a Nintendo generation kid, but I admit, the whole text-based RPG does has its charms!

I remember Zork and The Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy text games on my Commodore 64... however I didn't play them much... was young, my english wasn't so good, and the sparkly graphics of other games were more appealing... (hey look, a moth)
But Ultima V I liked, had it on Atari ST and it was the first RPG I played along with Dungeon Master (now that was a good game). [ 12-15-2004, 05:46 PM: Message edited by: Jorath Calar ] |
