SAz, brings to mind when I lived in Italy (several years ago). We lived right on the coast of the Tyrhennian Sea between Rome and Naples. Usually the winters were gloomy and chilly but not cold and only a little rain. One year it snowed about 1/4 inch (the first snow Rome had seen in 14 years!) and the whole place came to a screeching halt! The schools closed, the buses were stopped, everyone panicked and ran to the stores to stock up on staples (shopping in Europe is very different than here). I thought it ridiculous--but then being from the midwest and used to a *little* more snow than that...........

Yaaah, snow fights rule! It's been years since I've had a proper snow fight. This year it's been autumn all winter here in the Netherlands. Seems like we had much more snow when I was a kid, but that's probably my selective memory.

LOL Saz, well you're lucky you have that kind of a wife, some wives , after you throw them a snow ball, next day would stealthly stand in the corner of front yard with a tractor full of snow, and splash on you practically barrying you alive . "There ya go Hubby" .

The last days here, we've had around 1 meter snow. But today, almost all of it has rained away.
*Thank God!* see ya! |

quote: Are you kidding!?!?!?!? In the north of England it snows about once every 6 years where i live. The only snow we got over Christamas was one shower that didnt stick and lasted about 5 minutes. Then the Council refused to grit the roads even though they were way to slippy( everywhere was covered with ice that had melted then remelted)! GRR! |

quote:Sorry about that. At my other forum it's around the minimum size for a sig. (Or so /)eathkiller says.) Here I just won't use the darn thing, unless one of you would be so kind to resize it for me. I aslo have no idea why the text at the bottom changes to blue. It's beyond me. Wait a minute I thought it was always hot in Texas. Exactly how cold is it there?
