Strange that Cerek the Gentle Barbarian hasn't responded to this post. (Yet?)

For me, life is about the search for happiness, for beauty, for inner fulfilment. I do believe in a Higher Power that lies behind all existence -- call it God, Tao, Dharma, Allah, the Force, vegemite, whatever -- and my belief is that to know this Higher Power is to arrive at the ultimate in fulfilment.

It's like listening to a truly beautiful piece of music -- you become so absorbed in it, you forget about your own existence, so to speak. There's only the music. And it's beautiful. There's no need for any reasoning or explanation anymore -- it's just a state of utter bliss. Likewise with this Higher Power.

As Keats wrote,

"Beauty is Truth, Truth Beauty -- that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know."

To have fun. Like Neb said, to make others have fun and enjoy themselves.

hmmm some might say to help the poor etc. To love God with all your heart all your mind and all your soul. I guess it is whether you are religios or not.

The purpose of life is to pass go and collect 200 hundred dollars, get as much property as possible and make political connections for a get out of jail free card. Sometimes you get lucky and life throws you a chance card then you can upgrade your propertys to hotels!
