I've been told that he asked for more money then they were willing to spend on him. The Hollywood syndrome...

I actually liked Link better. Before you argue, just think. If Link had been in the first and Tank in the second, which would you prefer?

Unfortunately - Tank. he just seemed to be a kinda counterpart to dozer, and really work well as an operator. link is just not beliveable. and take note, link was not in the first one, and thats because they already had a better charecter, namely Tank.

Yea, Link did offer some comic relief to counteract the dark and dreary overall atmosphere of the show.

Did anyone else notice that the guy who plays Link also played the transexual sidekick of Penelope Cruz's character in "Woman on Top". He was pretty funny and nearly stole the show in that movie.

No bad word about Link!! I'm watching you guys I thought it was strange Tank wasn't in Reloaded, not only because Link said "After Dozer and Tank [he actually said "My two brothers"] died..." And Tank survived Cypher's attack, so....

Yeah and lets not forget "Agent Smith's" lesser known role in the film "Precilla, queen of the desert" . Oh I hear he also plays an elf in that film, you know the one with the swords and orcs, Lord of the something You might have heard of it, it's sequal was in the cinemas recently.

The answer to all mistakes in every movie- "A wizard did it..."

Seriously though maybe its explained in the Animatrix (the selection of short stories being released alongside Reloaded). Maybe he just died during the period between the first movie and the next.
