i think bittorrent is better than most of the other filesharing alternatives. plus, it has no spyware and its open source .

Seems everyone has a favourite of their own
I stand by DC++ being the superior p2p program, if you have a lot (>10Gb) to share. It has a slightly steeper learning curve than other programs, but has more quality content (you wont find any fake files, or music videos that turn out to be porn for instance), absolutely zero spyware, and a better filtering system for search results which eliminates any hassle one might have finding a good connection.
