In some ways I still want to see it, even if it is bad, as Christian Bale is a god among men. American Psycho is one of my favorite films of all time. I feel I owe Bale at least the courtesy of watching his naff films after his absolutely mind-blowing performance of Bateman.
You know I had that same thought at first, but trust me it is unjustified. Don't waste your money or time on this movie, lets just say you'll have to trust me on this, if you ever do have the misfortune of viewing this film, you'll know why.

I'm going to see it tomorrow. I don't have high expectations, especially after this thread, but sometimes that's the best way to see a movie. That way, you're not let down.

Anyway, as a reviewer, I need to see the good and the bad, so I can put things into perspective. I'll write a review after the weekend.

I watched this yesterday and while it wasn't a cinematic masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination it wasn't terrible either and I actually found my self enjoying it.

Other than that the acting was ok and the special effects were good for the time.

I'd hold our for something better. Graphics are reaching the "near realistic" level and some top shelf fantasy is being made into movies.(that aren't comedies, or REALLY BAD like in the past) Hopefully we'll see a serious effort at a dragon oriented feature film in the not too distant future.
You missed the whole point of the movie, heh.

When dragons die, they simply stop existing, except for a few dragons who made great sacrifices.

Draco was one of the last dragons, he didn't want to die, and according to the legend, the first dragon ever to go to "heaven" did it by helping human.

So he didn't make himself vulnerable to help a human, he did it to save his soul.
