Me and dplax just made a few more Shapeshift spells, so here they are.

New Shapeshift Spells

Sprain (level 2): Causes a minor joint on target to be dislocated. It deals no damage, but proves an annoyance in a way that the sprained finger, or equivalent, causes dexterity loss. Duration is permanent, until the target takes a few seconds to set it right again.


Mend (level 4): Greatly accelerates the healing rates of the caster's own body. For the next minute, all wounds and damage of the body heal at a rate of 1 HP every 3 seconds.


Hurt (level 4): Forces the target's body to react as if it has been hit by a terrible blow, making wounds, cuts or bruises materialise. Deals 10 to 30 damage.

Break (level 5): Breaks one bone of caster's choice in the target's limbs. It is an open fracture which deals 5-10 damage initially, lowers both dexterity and speed, and the damaged limb must be moved with care(no dodging, running, jumping anything like that) or receive 5 damage. The duration is also permanent, until healed by the amount of hitpoints equal or greater than the total damage caused by this spell.

Crush (level 7): The target's ribs are broken, forced together around the lungs, then held in place with magic to effectively choke the victim. At the begining of the spell, it deals 15 damage, and the target's breathing is severely limited. The spell costs 1 MP for every 5 seconds it is maintained, and as long as it is in effect, the target will receive 3 damage every 5 seconds and a penalty to his movement speed and dexterity relative to the target's size.

Sever (level 11): Shapeshifting magic forces the body of the target to bend around the neck vertibrae, putting the spine under heavy pressure until it either breaks, or the spell is called off. It costs 1MP and deals 1 damage every second, and once the target's current Power is lower than 50+number of seconds the spell was in effect the target's spine breaks and renders the target paralyzed permanently, until healed by an adequate healer.

So there they are. Fat chance any of the other players are going to have much use for these, but you can always develop your own spells and talents [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I shall add those spells to the list of spells tomorrow.

As this shows if you feel that the school of magic where your character is, or any other school of magic lacks certain spells, you can suggest them and they can get approved.

During the next few days there shall be many changes to the spell lists. I intend to have each spell list have one spell for each spell level. This might make spells change levels.

I'll try to be working together with the magic users to make their specialist spell lists, so if Morguerat or Salinye you have ideas for spells for your spell lists, then feel free to pm me. I'll be able to talk to Bozos enough on MSN so as not to need pms there.

Just to say, the thing I used was a 3d level spell for the fangs and the 5th level for hands.
Oh, and I am quite eager to see the new magic system [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Starting the reworking of the spell system here is the new shapeshifter spell list.

Shapeshifter Spells

Lesser Shift
level 1

The caster can change the shape of one of his fingers or one of his toes, or can harden a small part of his skin.

Minor Shift
level 2

The caster can change the shape of one of his hands, or feet, or grow a minor appendage, for example smallish horns, or an extra finger or toe.

Medium shift
level 3

The caster can change the shape of one of his legs, or one of his arms, or grow an appendage of intermediate size, like middle sized tusks or a spike out of his side, etc...

Create tail
level 4

The caster can grow a tail, which can be either strong and muscular, good at swiping at enemies with, or can also be long and good for balancing,...

Normal shift
level 5

The caster can change the shape of two of his limbs (either two arms, or two feet, or one arm and one foot), or can create a large appendage, like a tusk the size of an elephant's.

Shift Head
level 6

The caster can totally change the appearance of his head. This can be a very effective means of disguising himself or making his head a very good means of attack.

Shift Friend
level 7

Using the common link he has with a willing target the caster can cause a shapeshifting to happen on the willing target. Can be used to cast any of the spells from level 1 to 5 on a willing target.

Major Shift
level 8

The caster can either completely replace all four of his limbs, or can create several major appendages.

Shift enemy
level 9

Forcing a shapeshift on an unwilling target is not an easy task, and it takes the caster ten seconds of concentration. Can be used to cast levels 1 to 5 on an unwilling target.

Lesser Shapeshift
level 10

The caster shifts his whole body and in the process can become a creature of size comparable to his original size.

Shapeshift
level 11

The caster shifts his whole body and in the process can become a creature whose size does not exceed twice his original size, and is greater than half of his original size.

Greater Shapeshift
level 12

The caster shifts his whole body and in the process can become a creature whose size does not exceed ten times his original size, and is greater than a tenth of the original size.

Shapeshift Friend
level 13

The caster using the common link between himself and his target can change the whole body of a willing target. Works for spell levels 11 and 12 both.

Shapeshift Enemy
level 14

Forcing the transformation on an unwilling target. Takes ten seconds of concentration.

Major Shapeshift
level 15

The caster can shift himself or any other target into any creature. If used on an unwilling target, the spell takes 10 seconds to complete.


The spells can be added a healing or a damaging component, meaning a better than usual or worse than usual shift, in these cases the spell is counted as if it were one level higher. The spell can heal wounds only on the bodypart it is shifting.

At one time there can only be one shapeshifting spell of any given level active on any person, and in total there can be only four.

Each of the shapeshifting spells lasts 5 minutes. Their duration can be extended. Adding the original duration makes the spell level +1. This can be used any number of times.

So that the ingame casters can use their spells as they want to I shall try to get their spell lists done this week, but I have an exam tomorrow and another one on thursday, so I can't do them before that.

Also: due to my general busyness lately I haven't been able to think on special skills for Taryness and Bruner. This shall also happen after those two exams.

Sorry for not having done the spell lists yet, I was pretty busy even during the weekend. Unfortunately it also looks as if I shall be busy for the 2-3 coming weeks, so if you need to use a spell, just pm me with what you would have in mind and I shall tell what level that would correspond to.

I know it's only a temporary solution, but unfortunately it's the best I can offer at the moment.

Oh! Well, I can or I don't have to. :0) I think the most my character can do atm is fire a few more arrows. :0) If you wish me to continue an attack, I'll get that up sometime today/this evening. :0) If you have something brewing and don't want to wait for me to post, then go for it. You can always include another few arrows from Tiva if you wish. *grins*

If you haven't posted by the time I go to do it today, then I'll assume I'm to write a post unless I hear from you saying otherwise.
