Jena 27/36

After glancing from Drusalia to Able to make sure the necromancer's immediate severe wounds were being attended to, Jena slipped away from the group for a moment in order to address her own pain. It was not really obvious to anyone else that she had been injured, and Jena assumed that the others would not even miss her brief disappearance.

The several locations on her body that had been hit by the goblin's arrows bled slightly, and she silently sat down and pressed her palms tightly against the area of her punctured flesh. Bits and pieces of arrows were imbedded in her wound: specifically On her right in the sensitive side of her waist. She covered her wound with her right hand as she grimaced in pain.

Verrion Sieg 24/24

Verrion watched the shadowy form going away, and remained in quiet contemplation of what it was. It looked very familiar, perhaps he battled it before, but he couldn't remember. He heard Drusalia call him, so he turned to see her. She was hurt. "Drusalia! No I'm not hurt, but you are. Come, let me heal the wound." Verrion put a hand on Drusalia's wound, and was about to release his divine healing into her, when he accidentally gazed upon the injured Jena. He stayed his healing touch, looking over Jena's wounds. He sighed "Dru... Someone needs the curing more." He kissed her on the forehead, and moved over to Jena. He placed his left hand over her waist, and cast the power of his deity into her. Moments later, Verrion turned his left palm up, and an arrow shard appeared on it. Jena's wound was considerably healed.

OOC: Lay On Hands, I think I have 6, not sure. She should be healed by 6 hp, by my count.

OOC : Fine by me

Fairioni walks over and casts Cure Minor Wounds on Able, helping it as much as she can, remarking "We could stay the night here, i doubt anyone would return down here."

Jena 33/36

Jena closes her eyes as Verrion's healing magic flows through her body. She feels stonger and healthier, and though she was becoming weary from the battle she had developed a renewed sense of energy. "Thank you, Verrion. I feel much better."

Jena nodded and yawned at Faironi's suggestion to take it easy for the night. The battle had been exhausting and she still had a little healing to do. Turning, she glanced at the other companions. It looked like she was not the only one who was in need of rest.

Jena slouches against a tree stump by letting her bottom fall to the ground. Her back is planted firmly against the large tree's bark. She covers her mouth with her hands in order to stifle another yawn. She then raises her arms above her head in a stretch and her sapphire eyes begin to tear: a sure sign of her weariness.

Drusalia 19/22

She looked around whether anyone else was in need of healing, and when seeing that no wounds required immediate attention she sat down in a small hole between two rocks and looked to Verrion, motioning him to come sit next to her.

Verrion Sieg 24/24

After tending for Jena's wound, Verrion came next to Drusalia, and sat down. He looked at Drusalia's injured shoulder, and offered a tender kiss on it. He massaged it gently, to relax the muscles around the wound "I am going to put up the tent now, you just sit and rest. I don't want you using your wounded arm for anything." Verrion reached into th backpack, and pulled out the tent sticks.

Drusalia 19/22

Drusalia watched as Verrion put up the tent and then she stood up and collected her stuff. She entered the tent and took off her leather armor. She examined the wound on her arm. Thankfully it was only a minor cut and there seemed to be nothing to worry about. She lay back and looked at Verrion, who was just entering the tent.

"You fought well in the battle, my love. Come now and rest."

OOC: Well, I'm back, all safe and sound and not too jetlagged and yes, I had lots of fun ^^. So, I guess I should post. I may as well .
Btw, thanks to Rika and to TheMuse -- to the latter you handled Aeriah beautifully, and completely in character I couldn't have handled him better myself, so I thank you for that and to the former, thank you once again for Dming in my absence. ^^

So, without further ado -- heres the post. Please post when you can. . It's nice to be back.
---

Aeriah being too preoccupied with the sabre-tooth snowlion didn't notice Jena was hurt. After Drusalia's arrow took out the goblin shaman, the lion finished off the beast before Aeriah could stop her. In annoyance, the elf spoke heatedly to the lion who in turn, shrank back at his reprisal, lowering her head in submission. With a sigh, the elf knelt and wiped her mussle clear of goblin blood, compeltely oblivious to what was occuring around him. As he stood, he was just in time to see the paladin heal Jena and nodded to himself. Turning around, he layed a restraining hand on Thhiro and murmured, "We need to get you a new name, dear one. Anyone with a lisp will have a horrible time trying to pronounce your name."

From his pack, Kyr giggled as Thhiro snorted indignantly, slightly outraged by Aeriah's proposal. With a small smile the elf petted the lion and murmured, "Hush." Then he turned to Drusalia, anger clearly showing in his eyes. In a short tone, he demanded, "Pray tell me why you saw fit to slay my captive? I had the goblin shaman in my thrall -- and you took his life. He was helpless and we could have gained valuable insight and information from him!" For the first time, the party saw Aeriah in a new light: he was furious. His eyes were icy and filled with a dark wrath that frightened Jena and caused even Able to take a half step backwards, the intensity of dark light within his eyes stunning the half-nymph. In fact, the only one who wasn't taken aback by this was Verrion, (who passed his 'intimidate check'), for the paladin was used to controlling his fear.

Meanwhile, Kyr was rumaging through the dead shaman's belongings and pouch, deciding that she'd spent enough time within Aeriah's pack. Oblivious to her master, she squeeked excitedly, “Look at what he has! Its a strange club, or staff with a spear head on the end! It's enchanted, I know it is! I can feel it! Aeriah!" she demanded impatiently, “See!"
Coldly, her companion replied, "In a moment."
Kyr completely missed his tone, so caught up in her excitement was she. “All right, all right, but hurry up!"
Turning his attention back to Drusalia, the elf demanded harshly, "Well?"

OOC: There you go! I'll wait for you people to reply and try to catch up and then we'll get the game going again.

Edit, screwed up Kyr's font colour again.

Drusalia 19/22

At the sound of Aeriah's furious voice Drusalia peered out of her tent. The elf seemed furious and was talking about a captive. Fear crept into Drusalia, at first but then she too slowly became heated in her reply.

"I saw the shaman as a risk and eliminated him. Even though he was immobile he could still cast spells and that was too great a risk. And besides since when do I have to justify my actions to you? Since when does a captive belong to you? Since when did you decide that you were to lead this group?"

OOC: Oooh. Showdown between the elf and the half nymph... in the GREEN corner we have...

---

Aeriah just laughed, his tone cruel and mocking, his eyes even more so. Although Drusalia believed him to be furious, and rightly so, she had misjudged the extent of his anger -- he was not heated, as she had first believed, but was icy calm, and furious in a cold way. Taking a step towards the half nymph, his shadow growing longer, and in a twisted way, Aeriah seeming to become larger without actually growing in size, his aura becoming threatening. Although his eyes did not glow, they shone with a dark light, and he seemed to radiate with an intimidating wrath that should have scared her under normal circumstances. For Aeriah, this change of heart seemed competely out of character, for he was usually gentle, and yet... ...it seemed perfectly natural for him. Too natural. It sent chills up Jena's spine.

"Since when did I become leader?" the elf repeated softly, in slow, slow tones, "Since when did I take captives? Since when did you have to justify yourself to me?"

The pauses he took seemed only to intensify the extent of his fury, and snapping out at her, his voice as hard as rock, and just as unyeilding, he lashed out verbally, as sharp as a whiplash, as his tone took on a cutting and furious edge, "Since I chose to take captives! Since I knocked him out! Since I --" Aeriah cut off with a smile, and his tone became calm, too calm, "Why my dear," he began in honey sweetened tones, "You justify yourself to me when you steal my kill; my prey." At the mention of the word 'prey' both Jena's and Fai's blood turned to ice. "My dear Drusalia, you obey me because you know that I am your rightful leader -- when did I become it you ask?", his tone still all too mild, "Since you unoffically elected me and followed my lead. Now you bow to my will." smiling in a charming and disarming manner, the elf finished, "But, if you do not wish to follow my lead any longer, feel free to go your own path. I will not stop you." There was something hidden within his tone, something deceptive and dark. Despite his words, Aeriah felt... dangerous to all around him. Even Kyr had shied back. Without another word, the elf turned away and walked towards the edge of the path, casting his gaze towards the horizon. In a harsh tone, he snapped, "All who wish to come, gather your things. We are leaving." There was no mistaking the commanding tone -- he expected to be obeyed, or would foresake all those who did not.
