Arlyth cast a detect posion over the food, making it glow and then it disappeared. Then he looked abashed, "Sorry" he murmred "I just wanted to make sure... after what happenered earlier... well..." he sighed, and started eating, now that both Alliene and Loanna had. Taking a sip of his wine he sighed contentedly and stiffled a yawn, covering it behind one hand. It was clear he was becoming tired, and he made no attempt to hide it. He'd been up since before dawn, and had been travelling almost all of the day. He ate in silence, not pestering Alliene anymore. His "cousin" Loanna interested him somewhat, however...

When Alliene was finally finished, she pushed her plate back and stood,
"I can see you're all weary. Let us retire. Gus's familiar will return by the surface dawn." Alae and Alaerth yawned together.
"I will be keeping your sword for the time being." She told Arlyth, "It says it has something important to tell me. You will have it back by the time you wake." She looked at Loanna, "Show them to their rooms." Then she stood and left, Tagnik over her shoulder.

Loanna sighed, then hesitated, glancing at Xvim, "I suppose we could let you stay in the cave area? I know you don't like beds. It's right down that path." She pointed with a slender finger, then turned to the other four, "Follow me." She led them each to their own bedrooms. All right next to eachother, so if there was any trouble, they would be close. She actually hugged Alae and Alaerth, "It is good to see you again, cousins." Then took Arlyth to the room over, "This is where you can stay." She was still looking at him curiously. Obviously she still wanted to know what the big mystery was.

Arlyth hugged Alae before she turned and left with Alaerth with "Goodnight Alae. Sleep well." Then as Loanna lead him away, and paused looking at him curiously, he smiled slightly. Softly he murmered, "I suppose you would be wanting to know who I am... well, dear cousin, I am your kin by blood, though Alliene disowned my father. I am Arlyth’Kaeion, son of Calaethis..." he paused, bowing slightly. "I did not mean to insult you earlier, but... I am unused to being brushed off when I save that person's life." he shrugged. "Its nice to meet you though." he smiled slightly again, "I would hope that we could be on fairly good terms?" he left the question hanging in the air.

"Calaethis?! You mean the golden one?" She cocked her head to the side, "I wonder what you had to do to get on her good side. Or at least enough of her good side to keep your life." She chuckled breifly, "So I suppose you are not my new pet then. Oh well, Zennenn is good at keeping me entertained for the time being." She chuckled again.

Alliene returned to her rooms and did nothing more than remove her leather armour and sword belt before she sat down on the edge of her bed, Tagnik across her lap again, "So tell me, what is so important?"

Arlyth smiled darkly "I'm not my father, lady." pausing he added, "Your mother was kind enough to rid his taint from me - by impaling me with my own sword. Well, my father's old sword. The same one you stabbed that drow with earlier." he paused, then sighed. "Earlier today, I swore fealty to your mother, pledging my service to her, rejecting my father's deity in your mother's place." he smiled darkly again, "As for being your new pet... I suspect that your mother wouldn't be too amused, but..." he shrugged, "I doubt Alae would be happy if that happened either." he chuckled, "Still, you are incredibly beautiful, my lady, if you don't mind me saying... I would be honoured to call you cousin, if that was your wish?"

~~~Meanwhile back in Alliene's chamber...~~~

Alliene heard the voice of the blade whisper in her mind, "Mother... when you removed the taint through me, I felt a change within me... I... please don't be angry..." the sword begged, "Let me show you..." Alliene felt something odd happen, the sword's wieght was no longer there, but instead, she felt the wieght of a body; and in her lap sat a nude elven girl, roughly equiverlent to seventeen years of age or so. Lithe ivory skin covered her, but what was most remarkable were her amber eyes and golden hair, which hang down to her lower back. The girl's head was resting against Alliene's breast, and Alliene found her arms around the girl, one hand on her behind, the other on her back. More an instinctive reaction then anything else. The girl was beautiful, and Alliene could see traits of how she had been a sword, though it was hard to explain. Anyone who had seen Tagnik when it was first forged would reconigse the girl, somehow. The elf whispered into Alliene's breasts, "Mother... please don't be angry with me... I did not know I could do this until after you channeled the taint through me..." she was incredibly afraid right now, and Alliene could feel her quiver. "Please don't slay me, mother..." she begged.

Loanna laughed her rich laugh and bowed to Arlyth, "Cousin it is. I will see you on the morrow, Arlyth." She flashed him a dazzling smile and left.

Alliene could only stare. She had never known she could create such a sword.
"I'm not going to slay you, Tagnik, it's ok. I'm not angry." She stood up and set the elf on the bed, not quite knowing what to do next.

At that moment, Loanna walked in, "Forgive me for not knocking, mother, but I was just wondering...who is that?" Loanna's eyes went wide as she stared at Tagnik.
Alliene blew frustrated air out of her cheeks, "This is the sword that belongs to the elf I brought with us. Remember I told you of the sword I created for the golden one long ago? This is...her."

As Loanna left, Arlyth smiled and replied, "Then I bide you goodnight, cousin. Until tommorow!" then he turned in...

The elven girl looked up surprised, unaware of her nudity, after all, as a sword, when she had been drawn, the blade was naked. "Greetings" she spoke softly, her tone shy and she seemed almost afraid. Looking at Alliene, she asked softly, "Would you mind if I took a different name? When he named me, he chose a somewhat male name, and... although 'Dragon's fang' is a nice name for a sword, I... don't think it suits me." she paused, and looked thoughtful for a momenet, "I've been thinking, and I rather like the sound of 'Zyaevl Athynlir'..." she looked up at Alliene for approval. Then catching the frustrated air from Alliene, the girl looked at the floor and whispered, "Forgive me, if my presence causes a distrubance..." for a sword, she seemed incredibly sensative, "I.. I can go if you wish..."

"No, stay. Here, put this on." She went to her wardrobe and pulled out a black satin robe, "If any of my warriors or priestesses saw you there would be trouble. Are you able to turn into either form at will, or do you need to recover after each, like my twins?"

The girl nodded and murmured her thanks and looked up surprised. Slipping the garment on she sighed "It is so.. ...smooth. Thank you." then she looked at Loanna and back at Alliene and shyly asked, "M-m-my Lady" Zyaevl asked shyly, "How may I address you?" she was making a reference to Alliene's warriors and priestesses over hearing. She paused, "Change form... I... I don't know. I had no idea I could change into this... I honestly don't know, but I feel tired right now..." she sighed, her amber eyes looking weary, "Perhaps the effects will... it might become easier to change with time... I don't know..." she paused, and waited for Alliene to speak.

"Call me mother, as you have been. I will inform my priestesses of you. I do not sleep, so may stay in my bed until you recover strength." She turned to Loanna, "If you would find Sui'aerl for me, daughter, I would appreciate it. I need to know how their scrying is going with my warriors."

Loanna nodded and left to fetch the head priestess.
