PANDREMUS(Smiles beatifically at Eliza while weaving on his stool again) "Peven? Oh, yeshh, I have heard of him. Become a lich has he? Well, I knew that he was powerful. Had a tower next to the Singing Sea, he did, that stank on an east wind. Not far from the mouth of the Narbolond River. Are you finished with that drink? Would you like to come up to my room?"

Sorsha

She follows Aric quietly, striving to keep her footsteps firm and decisive - the way Legolas would have liked them to be. Her fists clench and unclench as she and Aric advance, and she occasionally licks her lips, blinking involuntarily. It will certainly be a most trying time ahead of her - the unknown and Legolas' plight seem pretty daunting.

Stop it! Stop it, I tell you! ~ With growing discomfort, she realises that her head is already pounding from the strain of coping with unwanted worries and shakes them away angrily, walking briskly now.

Let it all pass smoothly... oh, please...

He'd passed another goblin patrol, but the one the ranger is watching now appears more promising. He figured last time things went wrong because the goblins felt threatened from the start. These seven gnolls shouldn't have that problem, as they not only outnumbered him, but were also taller.
The elf turns back to let Sorsha and Aric know he was going to try again, only to see Sorsha standing not far off.
He can see the pain in her eyes, but if Durlan were still alive, he just knew that would make it al worth it. He stubbornly avoids thinking there's a good chance he is risking their lives for nothing.

The sun is on it's way down, and the elf is glad for the coming twilight which would help keep Sorsha safe. He knew he would not have that kind of safety.
Instead of stepping out on the path, he makes a point of stumbling through the last bushes and bumping straight into one of the gnolls. He then lets himself fall to the ground to give his future captors a better advantage.

The patrol leader wasn't sure what to think. On one hand this was an intruder and should be seen as a threat, on the other the pathetic creature bumped straight into the best patrol in the entire region. He almost felt sorry for the elf-thing.
In any case, though, he had his orders. While one of his men picked the elf off the ground, he looked the thing over for weapons. From the looks of it, he lost his knife. Now he lost his bow and arrows too.
After having the elf's hands bound, he gave the order to return to camp.

They passed a relatively small lake, but other than that and a trail one used by wildlife, there was precious little to navigate by. Nonetheless, they reached camp swiftly. It was little more than a patch of cleared forest, ashes coating the soil. On it stood nine large tents, surrounding an empty pen. They tossed the elf in there, with the patrol watching him while the leader fetched whoever was in charge.
It seemed this was a simple outpost rather than the place from where the creatures in the woods were commanded.

ooc: Hey everyone! Sorry about my absense, i've been super busy with band and school, and havnt had the time to think out plots for poor Verloren. But alas, I've returned!

IC:Verloren
She glowered fiercley at the dissapating figure of the black dragon. After he was gone however, a flush creeped up her neck and onto her cheeks. She looked meekly up at Avalon, hoping the beast's words didn't crush his ego,
"Avalon-"

Avalon
He cut her off with a click of his claws
"I does not matter, my princess. I suspected as soon as I set eyes on him," his piercing gaze passed over Illek, then back to Verloren, whos normally fierce face was in stunned reverie, and he could hear the words 'I'm sorry' drift out of her mouth. Sighing, he shifted to his elven form and took her hands
"My dear, we both knew it could never be, though we did not want to believe it. I am not deserving of your beauty. This elf needs you, I do not," that being said, he stepped back and shifted again, raising his booming voice, "But that does not mean there isn't a reason to masacre this Kinn'zuwanik! Come! I can smell that we are getting closer to his domain," he pushed them in front with his snout and followed.

Verloren
She breathed an amazed sigh of relief, holding back tears that were threatening to spring into her eyes. She looked over at Illek and gave him a faint smile.

Aric and Sorsha followed the gnolls from a safe distance. The Hunter was very disappointed when they stomped at an outpost camp rather than heading into the stronghold. Still, he was used to watching and waiting for his quarry. This was probably just a minor delay. After watching the camp for a short while, it seemed obvious that the elf would not be moved before the next day. As the gnolls settled in for the night, Aric suggested to Sorsha that they do the same....at a safe distance from the camp, of course. Seeing hesitation and distrust in her eyes, he removes his ring so that she may see him clearly.

"We must find a safe place to rest for the evening. The elf appears safe enough, at least for tonight. Let's make sure we are equally safe."

They find a spot that is as good as they can hope for and settle in. Aric tells Sorsha to stay put while he finds them something to eat. It is only a few minutes before he returns with two rabbits, that seem to be "cooked" from the inside out and ready to eat. He skins them quickly and then hands one to her. He smiles (a rather charming smile for once) at her look of confusion and just gives a shrug of his shoulders. "It's a kinda magic", he says, then he begins eating his.

He wasn't about to tell her that he carried a few arrows armed with a Burning Hands spell. He found that the low amount of damage wasn't very useful in combat, but it was perfect for killing game and "cooking" it at the same time. It also eliminated the need for a fire.

When they finished their meal, Aric moved in front of Sorsha, so that he could look directly at her. "Tomorrow, I will use an Invisibility spell on you, if you agree. I simply do not trust the power of your Sanctuary to keep you from being spotted and captured too. Of course, the final decision will be yours. Whichever you choose is fine with me. I'm going to sleep now. Wake me when the moon gets high, and I will stand watch while you get your rest."

He heads for his bedroll without waiting for an answer.

The night somehow seemed darker than usual this time of year, and it felt like the clouded sky, blocking the illumination of the stars and moon, was not it's only source. The only availiable light came from the campfires, occasional patches of red and yellow slipping through the trees. Of all places in sight, the outpost was best visible.
Gnolls in their dozens moved about the camp, and probably many more were alseep in the crude tents. They had no regard for stealth though, and growled and yapped continouosly. Now, though, they fell silent.

A smaller figure made his way through the gnolls, and the beasts fell back before it. Calmly it made it's way to the pen where the elf was kept.
Two of the gnolls pulled the captive in front of the newcomer, who was appaerently both male and human, although it was hard to be sure.
Words were spoken, though none of them carried. After a short while the captive was dropped back to the ground, and a small patch of fog grew around the questioner, hiding him from sight. Then the cloud drifted away, leaving no sign of the person that stood there seconds ago.
It remained quiet for a few more minutes, but then the gnolls dared talk again.
The rest of the night passed without notable events in the outpost.
