From Cyril's rule book on all Lord of Forums game threads...
* The Stoneskin Spell: This spell will function to block one melee attack per skin against opponents such as the grimlocks. However, against creatures of great physical power such as the Shadow Giants it will not absorb more than one or two blows before crumbling completely to pieces. From the advice I received, this is what I know of this spell... 1d4 +1 per 2 levels this is the 2nd edition version which is more powerful than the 1st edition version (absorbs 1 attack), and less powerful than the 3E version (which provides damage reduction for a certain amount of hp's of damage). |

![]() Oh yeah...Andrion and Kynnen. I have built spell charts for both of you in Excel which look pretty simple to read and keep up with. For Kynnen, I even plugged in a formula to help me count down all his lay-on-hands spells, since there are alot of them. I'll have to get one of my associates to tell me how many HP can be recovered in max. with that spell. Re: Spell Recovery...here is the Cyril Rulebook quote on the matter. * Recovery of Spells: Spells are not automatically recovered or memorized on resting [this holds for clerics and sorcerers as well]. Time needs to be spent in memorizing them and preparing material components [Mages]; in prayer and communion with one's deity [clerics and druids]; or simply allowing one's magical energy and ability to focus and control it to recover after having been spent [sorcerers]. Depending on the number and level of spells involved, this can take as long as a couple days. Note that rangers and paladins would be handled the same way with regard to their spellcasting abilities. |

Stupid me for not paying attention!
Andrion, since you cast the spell of Globe of Invulnerability...you have made 24 posts after that. If we were to say that one post equals one turn, and then was lenient to say that two of your posts took place within one round a couple of times you'd still have passed the mark. Your globe of Magical Invulnerability has dissapated as of your last move. We'll just say that it was a particularly good spell weaving that had shadow spell put into it to strengthen its duration from the origional length to 24 turns. A 3rd edition Lay on hands is my level times my charisma modifier. My total is 27, meaning I can heal 27 hit points each day, as a free action, on anyone I touch. I used up three so far, so I have 24 more. This also damages undead. As a free action, I may use it at any time my character is not held, paralyzed or otherwise incapacitated. But that's the 3rd edition Lay on hands ability, you may have something different, as I've seen you regard Stoneskin by 2nd edition, and I've no idea if the Lay on hands was changed since then.
