Morguerat
A bit surprised to see the guard arrive, a bit more that the tigress hadn't been thorough enough to eliminate all the guards, and seal the exits before beginning her bloody work, Morguerat waved slowly making no sudden moves and said as calmly as he could "We'll go with you, but unless you've got silver, and much greater skill than I, I'd advise you to get us out of here as soon as possible, I doubt that holding cell will hold a weretiger for long. I will fight along side you if and when she breaks free, but I'll need a blade before I can be of use" He then began walking slowly towards them hands visible in the air, and purposefully bumped into Larry's back to jar him into forward motion. {ooc: not hard enough to make him stumble, or start enough to make the guards fire, just enough to get his feet moving) [ 01-12-2005, 11:10 AM: Message edited by: Morgeruat ] |

Elite Guard #1:
The Elite Guard was rather shocked that at least one of them had obeyed the command, and so he quickly turned and took Vincent back through the hallway and into the Right Wing as fast as he could decently march... OOC>>>Plaxica, see the discussion thread. [ 01-12-2005, 11:07 PM: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ] |

Andrion Wilgor 60/60
Was the body the work of Nanashi, or that of someone else? It did not matter who did it, the problem was that the guards had noticed it and Andrion needed to get past them. He did not pay any attention to the commotion the arrival of the two prisoners caused he just prepared himself. He commanded the doom guard to move with a great lot of noise towards all the gathered guards down the stairs. As soon as the guards saw the doom guard Andrion, while covered by invisibility given to him by the amulet started walking down the stairs in a place where he could avoid the guards. ======================================== Plaxica 70/70 He could smell the mage, and he could also smell something else, something unearthly and not living any more. It took only a few seconds for this thing to appear and the guards to spot it. Plaxica flew down to the ground and shifted back to his human form. He had no weapons, but he could help the guards with his heightened senses. He had smelt Andrion and he had sensed that the mage was also moving down the stairs. Plaxica turned to one of the guards: "The undead is not alone. Watch out!" Plaxica then shifted back to his owl form and tried sensing any scent of Larry, to know where the ranger was. =========================================== Andrion Wilgor 60/60 Andrion saw the man shift and knew immediately how he had been sensed. Yet he now had no time to lose fighting all these guards. He had to get past them. While stopping for a few moments and letting the Doom Guard go ahead he thought about what spell to use. ======================================= Doom Guard 23/78 The undead had no feelings and could feel no fear. All that mattered to it was to follow it's master's bidding. And it's master had commanded it to attack this group of guards. With the clatter of a body, which did not function properly the undead made it's way down the stairs with its sword high up, above it's right shoulder. |

Kynnen 117/117
Thumping on a door close-by awakened Kynnen. In the dark cell he was imprisoned, he still brooded on how it came to be. The scene of fighting in the tight corridor was again in Kynnen's mind. Damned tight corridor. And damned the guards for trapping me inside. How could he have let this happen? He was a Drow, he was better than any of the guards that captured him, better then all of them together. Damned tight corridor. I will get out of here. I will kill those guards, and I will finish my mission. It was a misfortune to be trapped in a six feet wide corridor with an almost five feet long blade for a weapon. More banging on a door brought Kynnen from his thinking. Probably more guards. "I doubt that holding cell will hold a weretiger for long. I will fight along side you if and when she breaks free, but I'll need a blade before I can be of use." Weretiger? Kynnen rose from the floor, came up to the small barred slit on the door, and pressed his face on the bars, trying to see something. Who was this now? Men trying to run away from a weretiger? Kynnen shook the door with his fists, trying to get some attention "Duul'sso uns'aa dal..." he started on Drow, but remembered he was on the surface now. "Free me from this cell! For Andrion, Plaxica and five guards of Marcos on the ground floor, main chamber of the Left Wing:
The guards that were left at the scene with an owl looked up just as they had been warned, and saw a headless man walking toward them, looking pretty beat up. Had this thing done this to the dead guards? "Fire!" The command was yelled out. Two bolts from crossbows sang out and struck the undead creature. "Take it down!!" The other three guards, led by their sergent charged the creature and surrounded it, taking stabs and slices when the opportunity presented. With no trouble at all, the already wobbly undead monster was down and in many pieces on the floor. But the one that could turn himself into an owl had warned of another. All five guards looked about, some watching the flight of the owl to detect where the culprit might be. Another undead? The mage that summoned this one? They did not know what to expect. ************************************************** **************************** For Larry, Morgeraut, Nanashi, Kynnen, and the four guards of Marcos on the basement floor, outside the holding cell rooms, Left Wing: Larry was jarred forward, but kept his footing and stepped forward to be received by the guards, guessing that this man was urging him to move with haste since the were-tiger was right behind them. "Sirs...he is telling the truth. There is a beast in there that tried to kill me and this man saved me! He need not be aprehended. But please do something about that creature! She is sent from the Mage of Shadow!" "Do not worry yourself with this tiger. You and your big friend here can explain it to Marcos as to why you are not in your cell. You will be escorted out the back way as we came in. I hear that there is a commotion upstairs that we want to avoid." The two guards urged the two captured men (Larry and Morgie) to walk in front of them out the back door, which was the fourth door of four in this corridor...the one straight ahead. When they had passed through the door, the Elite guard and his companion decided to look into the room to see if there really was a tiger-lady. They had not heard any noise coming from the room so they assumed that there was no real creature in there, at least not one to be worried about. All the action was still upstairs. The guard opened the door, and stepped in, but his cohort did not have the chance to step in behind him. The door slammed shut so quickly that the guard jumped back. He supposed that the other guard was playing some trick. He opened the door and pushed it open, but it felt like the other guard on the inside was playing around and pushing against the door from the inside. "Quit messing around, man! Let's just get back upstairs where all the real action is." "There's more action here than you think!" The voice alarmed him. He looked around and saw the other guard on the floor, with his head cut clean off. Above him stood a beautiful woman, smiling...no, smirking at him. "What the..." OOC>>>Kynnen, if there was anything to hear anywhere in the building, you would be hearing the sounds of Larry, Morgie, these four guards, and of course the death of two of them just now. They are in the next room over from you, located in the basement of this wing. [ 01-13-2005, 03:23 PM: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ] |

Andrion Wilgor 60/60
The Doom Guard had been cut down fast, but it did not matter. It had already outlived its usefullness in diverting the guards attention for several precious seconds. In the confusion of the guards attacking the undead creature his murmuring was nearly lost and he easily unleashed his spell. ================================================== ==== Plaxica 70/70 Only Plaxica heard the murmurs. He immediately shifted back to his human form and shouted: "On the left side of the stairs! A dozen steps above you!" ========================================== Just then Andrion's spell was unleashed. EDIT: forgot to add what spell he was casting. Horrid Wilting - targeted so that it hits the guards and Plaxica, but not Andrion. [ 01-13-2005, 03:34 PM: Message edited by: dplax ] |

Silt 80/80
Silt had stayed with the Inquisitor as Vincent had abruptly left. His keen elven hearing had picked up screams, and he knew there must be fighting near. "What will you have me do? Silt asked the Inquisitor. Afterall, it was his castle, so he would know it inside out, maybe he had a plan. Silt was itching to see Larry safe, he hoped he hadn't come this far for nothing. edit:sig [ 01-13-2005, 07:24 PM: Message edited by: RoSs_bg2_rox ] |

OOC>>>I got me a new dice roller online, so lets see how well it works.
Horrid Wilting was cast upon five guards and Plaxica by Andrion. The guards did not hear the chanting because of their work on the undead minion. When the warning came, it was too late. They were all within range of the spell. When the spell was cast, the following occurred. Guard 1: Total:67 Guard 2: Total:74 Guard 3: Total:47 Guard 4: Total:65 Guard 5: Total:56 Plaxica: Total:54 The guards watched each other dry up in a matter of a few seconds, losing their precious water from their bodies. All six men collapsed to the ground, gasping for thirst and falling into shock. One guard was able to pull himself up to his knees, as the spell had not affected him as critically as his companions. He looked around to survey the damage done. Three men lay there, dryed up and dead. Another man was still breathing but was clearly unconscious. He looked to the owl-man to see if he fared any better or worse. OOC>>>Two guards and Plaxica have survived the attack. [ 01-15-2005, 03:04 PM: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ] |

Plaxica 16/70
Pain. It oozed through all his limbs, trying to sever their connections with his body. The pain was unbearable. His senses were overwhelmed by it. His mind registered a great thirst, but the pain blocked out all other feelings from his mind. But then something started moving in a hidden corner of his mind. Something which had been hidden from even himself. Plaxica tried to concentrate on this thing, but the pain he felt was overwhelming. He started dropping to his knees, but when he reached the ground he had no knees. Instead an owl touched the ground softly with its feet. Plaxica tried to gather himself together but the something was taking over in his mind. He watched with his own eyes as the mage and the last two surviving guards faded away into the distance as the owl lifted and rapidly beated its wings. The pain had lessened and through the sudden clarity Plaxica felt the consciousness within him trying to communicate with him. His hearing registred hoots and owl screeches he earlier did not know he was capable of. But his surprise was even greater when the realisation hit him that he even understood the language the spirit communicated in. "I became a part of you when you suffered the bite of the diseased owl. I lay hidden in a corner of your mind awaiting the moment, when at last you noticed me. But your will was too strong and you did not accept the fact that you had become something different. A great shock was needed for me to be released." All the while the owl moved rapidly down the hallway towards the stairs, which led to the holding area. "But do not fear. I am here to help you. Our futures are entwined and if one of us fails so does the other. I saved you back there when you were unable to move due to your pain, but..." With an alarmed screech Plaxica saw himself come to a halt and suddenly control of his own movements was given back to himself. He was overwhelmed by all that his senses could feel. It was as if his hearing and smell had been amplified and his sight could also pierce the shadows. Of all the smells he picked out three. He could smell a tiger, whose smell had something extra to it, probably shadow he decided although he could not be sure of this. He could also smell Larry, and again something else, something which reminded him of the shadow. The third smell was something he had never felt in this thread, as if its carrier was from a different thread. In the distance where he had come from he could also make out Andrion's smell mingling with a smell of death and again shadow. Plaxica shifted back to his human form and examined his injuries. But then the voice of the spirit spoke to him in his head. "Fear the tiger. It is an opponent whom you would not be able to defeat, even if you were not injured. Care not of your injuries now. Go find the one called Larry!" OOC: letting Nanashi react. I'm sure she has smelt the owl at the top of the staircase leading to the holding area. edited to make some minor corrections [ 01-15-2005, 04:51 PM: Message edited by: dplax ] |

Andrion Wilgor 60/60
He had expected some to survive. But he had hoped for all of them to die. Especially the owl-man. A guard was getting to his feet. Andrion ignored him for the moment and turned to Plaxica who was falling to his knees. Andrion planned to kill the man with his next spell, but then to his astonishment Plaxica shifted into owl form and faster than Andrion being able to cast his spell he flew off. Andrion cursed out loud and in frustration turned to the guard, who was now on his feet and he cast magic missiles at him. edited to remove sig [ 01-15-2005, 04:46 PM: Message edited by: dplax ] |
