"Thank you for your understanding. Normally I would not ask for money for information which is this important, but I have ran out of money as in this region people do not seem to want to buy my merchandises. I'll strike a deal with you. If you give me enough money to get to the next town I'll tell you everything I know about Larry Silverfall and his companions. Is that acceptable?"

[i]He nods as Tao shapeshifts. He begins walking toward the Tavern, expecting problems. His Drow form had exceptional hearing and sight, so he suspected he would be able to pick up on trouble and attempt to head it off. Once they reach the door of the Tavern, he opens it and enters with his wolf companion.

He promptly sits at the bar and orders a tankard of ale. His eyes and ears scan the tavern cautiously, not trying to draw unwanted attention.

Inquisitor Marcos of Snowdale - 98/98

The inquisitor looked straight at his informant as he replied.

"If I have your word this information is worthwile, it is a fair enough price. You have my ear."

Roderik

As the creature backed away, warily, Roderik pressed the attack, spinning his remaining daggers rapidly, criss-crossing them cross and around his body, he threw them both simultaneously, one went wide, and the other cut a thin slice across the creatures torso (4 damage). It's enchanted edge causing the minor wound to bleed more profusely than it would have normally. The bard rolled to his left then , trying to circle around the creature, while the doberman "bandit" went in on the right. It bit at the creatures legs, but couldn't latch on to the Neogi to pull it down.

Scraag HP: negligible

The goblin had ridden hard, as if the angels of hell itself were on his heels, he had ridden his horse into the ground and strangled a traveller for his horse while he slept, and then ridden again, he was tired, but knew that he was being watched, always being watched by his master, whom he feared more than any other. He stopped the horse briefly, once, to let it drink some water while he rooted out some insects for food, and then drank water from the same stream as the horse. Scraag would be good, and his master would be nice, Scraag wouldn't have to play tag with the wolves anymore. The goblin thought about the wolves and shuddered, they had ripped off his ear, mauled his arm, torn open his leg, and nearly killed him, but the best advances in goblin medicine had been available (unfortunately for Scraag), he could grip with his mangled arm, but it looked almost skeletal, most of the flesh gone, and several of the fingers missing as well, and his usually flopping sound as he ran was even more pronounced by the leg turned inward by the chirurgen's attempt to save it. Wolves were definately to be avoided in the future.

As he rode he saw the inn coming into sight. As the hated sun began to dip, and the light became more bearable he raised the white flag again, letting it be visible so that a random person wouldn't strike him down. He needed to find someone to give the package to, someone of honor... He saw a drow elf, with a wolf! He steered his horse away and felt the beast shudder as it collapsed from the strain. He rolled away, scanning the crowd as they began to watch him carefully, some women and children cried when they saw him and fled, but Scraag had no time for fun, he had a mission. He saw a handsome man, with a no nonsense manner, who reminded him greatly of his master, talking in hushed tones to a merchant, the man was as good a choice as any to give the pouch to. He ran, stumbling, and snarling at people in his way as he went towards the severe man, holding his white flag high.

ooc: ok, so all everyone at the tavern will see, is a goblin, with a big stick with a white banner on it, charging the crowd, snarling at random people, and seeming generally crazed.

"I hope you shall be satisfied. I shall start froń the beginning of what I know, since there may be details, you haven't heard yet. The one known as Larry Silverfall has joined company with several adventurers, some of questionable stature in order to bring his dead wife back from the dead."

"To do this he sent the two groups of people on two different missions, to recover two artifacts, which contain malicious shadow magic. A certain candle and a necklace, both made by his former self, who fell to the powers of shadow."

"Among his companions I do not have information about all, but what I have on some of them is quite interesting. The one who calls himself Arcades is in truth a dragon, and everyone knos how evil dragons can be. A certain Roderik I have heard has fallen to the powers of shadow also."

"Silverfall had also been having strange visions of his shadowself, before leaving on the mission."

"Is that information enough for you, or shall I tell you more?"

Inquisitor Marcos of Snowdale - 98/98

He ignored the merchant's question as he saw the goblin hurry towards them. White flag or no, Marcos reached for his ornate hammer. He would be ready if the monster's flag turned out to be nothing but a ploy to buy the initiative.
Pushing his informer back, he fixed his gaze on the creature.

"Halt," he ordered it, before it might injure someone.

If the crazed thing would listen to reason, he would soon find out.

upon hearing the fair one's order the goblin stopped moving so quickly it fell over rather comically. It scrambled to it's knees and began crawling forward, the staff and it's flag forgotten. "The m-m-m-master asked me to give th-thu-this to the heroes tr-tr-tracking L-l-larry" It held out a pouch of soft leather as it crawled slowly towards the paladin. It's eyes quickly taking in the scene before him, and still gasping with the effort of his ride.

ooc- wee, just moved into my college dorm!

ic- Lyulfe

Lyulfe winced. "Well, there went our attempt at being discreet," he muttered as he waved half-heartedly at the shapeshifter, noticing that the attention of the Inquisitor was distracted by the strange appearance of a half-crazed goblin. Nodding to Silt he whispered "Now may be your chance to get in unnoticed. We should probably keep an eye on that goblin that is talking to him... I don't know about you, but that strikes me as a bit suspicious..." He eyed the merchant who was waiting impatiently for the goblin to leave. "And perhaps the merchant as well... you can never tell what a person's true self is merely by looks."

The elf smirked slightly as if sharing an inside joke, then turned his eyes towards the distance, wondering what Rong was squinting so diligently at. His eyebrows shot up, and he glanced quickly back over towards the Inquisitor. "We have less time than I thought, the others are already on their way. Silt, are you up for it?"

Liam

No matter how fast Larry strode, he never seemed to lose Liam, who easily kept pace with the overly excited man. Staring hard at the fast approaching tavern, the tall man broke his silence with a strange comment. "I smell goblin," he muttered softly, darting a glance towards KayLisa who had also been sniffing the air warily.
