Tyra shook her head and looked at Sylquis, "Why don't you go back to Skye's room and study or something, sister?" she paused, "Or go outside in the garden, it's a fairly nice day outside." Sylquis shook her head, "Tyra please, I would... prefer to stay here... please sister?" the child was genuinly concerned about Verloren, who had agreed to be her tutor, and Tyra didn't have the heart to send her away.

Since Alliene had returned... Tyra made a mental note to ask Skye if they could move into her rooms... unsurpriingly, Tyra didn't like Alliene very much.

Skye looked up as Khalraan approached. A few moments later, Damion also came out rubbing his eyes and yawning, the small drow's hair mussed from sleep. "Hello children," she said with faint amusement. "Can sleep through anything, can't you Damion?" The small drow climbed into her lap comfortably and peered up at her cheerfully. "Yup. I heard you playing, play another song, please? Make it a fun song though, the other one made me want to cry." He looked at her plaintively. The half-elf smiled, then beckoned to Khalraan to sit next to her. Skye paused and looked thoughtful for a moment, and her eyes sparkled. "Ah, I know," she said with a grin.

Skye paused then started singing the tune again, translating it to elvish so the two boys could understand the words.
La la la...

Underneath the blue sky, the wind blows toward the future,
as if embracing the rays of the sun.

Merely wandering along,
I leave behind only a trail of footsteps.

As long as there's a breeze brushing my cheek & grass to lie in
I don't need anything else, and I'll smile with satisfaction.

Sleeping, gazing at
the never-ending future...

La la la...

I can hear the sound of waves, touching my heart,
selfishly aimless, like drops of rain.

The setting sun quietly reassures itself of everything,
then sinks into the distant sea, as if giving it a kiss.

Wandering towards
the dream of a never-ending future.

La la la...

Skye stopped and smiled at the two children. Damion looked at her wide eyed then started to clap. "Waah, that's a cool song Skye! I wish I could go see the sea!" Damion leapt up and grabbed a nearby stick, wandering off with images of grand adventures in his head. Skye laughed, watching the child's antics, then looked at Khalraan seriously. "You know, if you want I could teach you how to become a bard. People don't seem to take too kindly to your thieving abilities, but as a bard if you use it for the right reason it's okay. You'll learn some slight of hand tricks and charms, as well as put your thieving ability to better uses." she grinned. "What do you think?"

ic:Khalraan looked at Skye, repeating her song in his head,
'You think you could teach me to make songs like that?'
Suddenly feeling light, Khal leaned across to hug Skye,
'If it's ok with you, I'd like to learn.'
He smiled at the half elf. Fidgeting slightly, then stopping, and laying his head lightly on Skye's shoulder, he asked her,
'Skye, can you help me with something?'
looking pleadingly into her eyes, Khal spoke,
'I sorta well...like Sylquis, she's really pretty, but I don't know that she likes me, and well...' Khal blurted words out.
Looking at Skye, his face burned red, and he started to get up, not making eye contact with her.

Skye smiled and Khalraan and patted the grass next to her. Hugging him she laughed softly. "Do you think I am blind? I am a bard, we specialize in noticing things, about people and otherwise. I already knew how you felt about the elf." she smiled again, to show Khalraan that she wasn't upset with him. "I only act clumsy and foolish most of the time, because it's easier for people to relax around me. I wouldn't want to be friends with some sharp, shifty-eyed half-elf if you know what I mean," she said dryly.

"If I knew how Sylquis felt about you, I could not say. But I do have some advice for you. When you're around her, do not act differently then you would normally. You want her to like your true self, not some fake being. Do you understand?" she asked, hugging him. "Ah well, it doesn't matter. You'll understand someday, I'm sure."

Question Mark

Malar and Aeris stood waiting in the hall for awhile and found nothing. They walked back down the stairs and into the halls. They wandered aimlessly through the estate. As they came into a garden they heard a faint song being played. They walked toward the beautiful music and found Skye. They approached her.She seamed to not notice. As the song played Aeris and Malar found themselves enthralled by the beautiful music and dreamy thoughts came to their minds. As the song ended so did the thoughts. Oh Skye..that was so beautiful...I have never heard anything more wonderful in my life! Please please..play it again! Aeris looked at her with pleading eyes. Malar knelt down in front of her. Yes my lady. That was beautiful music. Please play it again.

***OOC - post for when the game advances - this is set in the future - and what my chars will do - assuming all goes well...***

Sylquis continued to mantain her vigil over Verloren. She hardly strayed from her side, but stayed out of Alliene's and Captain Elon's way. She sat in a seculded corner on a chair, and when there was not a chair, upon the floor, continuing to watch over her tutor-to-be - unless she was asked to leave, or ushered out. Several times, Elon found her asleep, exhausted and curled up in her corner.

Tyra had worried about her sister, but gave up after a couple of days. Instead she spent the two weeks talking with Skye, and generally trying to develope a friendship with her - and help her keep an eye on the children. She stayed out of Alliene's way more then the others.

ic:Khal nodded to Skye, and hugged her, then asked her,
'Do you really think I could be a bard like you? Your music's so pretty, and I wouldn't even know where to start.'
Looking up as Aeris and Malar spoke, Khalraan agreed,
'Yes, please Skye, do play the pretty song again'
Khal smiled at the half elf.

Verloren did manage to raise herself during these days; lomg enough to eat, bathe, and return to her bed. Alliene's bed actually, her own bed brought too much grief. She trusted herself with the friends that surrounded her, and Alliene did her best to spend time with her, though her drow male pet was making it difficult.

Alliene was constantly throwing jokes and insults at her charge. It irritated the young boy, but that was the extent. He kept up his wall of defiance and told her nothing of himself. But she knew he would break...whether by leash or magic or truth potion, she did not know, but he would...

ooc-Cal, I'm at work right now, and it's not letting me use buddy list or IM...so I'll talk to you in the evening probably. AFAK, we don't really need to discuss anything else...*shrug*

After a two weeks had passed; one day Ariaera awoke Calaethis as usual, but there was something different this time. She was being exceedingly mysterious, as though she was hiding something.
Waking him softly, she gave him his usual early morning bath, and dressed him, but the clothes she picked out were not the garb she usually dressed him in - instead, it was white clothing, (tunic, breeches, & a robe) elegant and fine in it's weave, but very simple. When Calaethis asked about this, he was told to "Hush"; obedient to her wishes, he did as he was bade. He'd learnt if she wasn't obeyed, he'd feel the flat of her hand, an experience he didn't enjoy much, especially since his deity said that Ariaera was striking him with Her hand...

After eating a quick breakfast, Calaethis was lead to the glade where he usually practised, curious that Ariaera was escorting him. Continuing past the glade, she led him deeper into the forest then he'd ventured before. Eventually, after about three hours travel, they arrived at a small spring, fed by a little waterfall. Its water cascaded merrily into the pool, sounding cheerful almost.

The priestess was dressed in robes of lavender, grey, purple, sky-blue and midnight blue. She wore a band of silver across her forehead, and her silvery hair was braided, or at least, the front was, the rest hung freely down to her waist. Her pale, ivory skin was decorated with silver jewellery; silver bracelets with intricate designs, silver earrings with amethyst sparkled at her lower lobes, and a ring decorated her forefinger; a silver starburst with topaz, amethyst and quartz decorated it. Slipping off her sandals, the priestess, looked at Calaethis, her bare feet on the soft mossy ground, her figure graceful, tall, elegant and composed. She was beautiful. Her sapphire eyes were deep in thought, but they were filled with warmth.

Ariaera spoke softly; "Calaethis dear child, remove your shoes. Shush, don't speak, just obey silently" Calaethis nodded, and did as he was bade. "Now, step into the pool child," she paused. "Remove your clothing first." Calaethis nodded again, and stripped. Stepping into the pool nude, he shot a questioning look at the priestess. Her eyes sincere, she told him, "Change into your draconic form, Calaethis." Now able to change at will, he did so; and where an elf once stood, a demi-dragon was in its place. Still in humanoid, he resembled an elf, but in place of skin, tiny golden scales glittered. His tiger-eye and golden-fire eyes looked questioningly at the priestess again. "Bathe yourself dear one, submerge completely." the golden one did so, and rose to the surface again. Ariaera knelt down and took Tagnik’zurjess in her hands, still in its scabbard.

She drew the blade slightly, and holding it flat across her palms, offered it to Calaethis. "Take your sword, child" seeing him reach for the hilt, she smiled and nodded. He took it. Holding the naked blade in one hand, his nude form knee-deep in water, he mentally sent a thought to Tagnik, asking it if it knew what was happening. The sword sent back a mental reply to hush. The blade began to glow pure white. The priestess smiled, and began an incantation. White light filled the small pool, and the golden one blinked. He heard a familiar voice; it spoke "My gift to you, My child. You may only use it in your golden form, for only then are you strong enough to use it..."

Calaethis opened his eyes, and found himself clad in armour. Golden armour. A breastplate made from elven metals; a golden helm, with wings, Chain semi-tunic and breeches; gauntlets, boots and a large shield... the breastplate had a silver dragon crest; Sssiks'barra's emblem. The helm was golden, and intricately crafted to resemble dragon wings. The shield also had dragon insignia; a silver dragon holding a naked blade, clad in golden armour, full plate, and a shield strapped to it's arm. Tagnik was also present in Calaethis's hand, it was unchanged, but it sang happily "Now we are complete! Now we must go and seek out Lord Avalon!" Calaethis's reply was one word: "Indeed." His new armour fit him like a second skin. The priestess smiled at him.

***OOC - Calaethis's armour in draconic form - elven breastplate and chain - plate is +3, the shield is +1, as is the helm. His gauntlets give 15% resistance to slashing weapons - and he can use them as a shield of sorts - a bracer when he is not wearing his shield - they ONLY give 15% slashing resistance when the shield is NOT present.***
