Hi People,

This is one great forum and everyone here is very helpful. Anyway, I'm 29 yrs old and in the Chicago area. The first rpg game that i played (twas a dungeon crawler really) was Dungeons of Dagorath on the Radio Shack Tandy Color Computer 3. If that doesn't count then I'd say that my first rpg would be Ultima 3 on the NES (the old 8-bit system).

I'm Richard, from Sidney, Nebraska, the home of everyone's favorite outfitting store-Cabella's. I'm a music teacher, recently married, 24.

I'm relatively new to CRPG's, or at least less hard core cuz I don't have the money to spend on them all. (I'm a band teacher, after all). First RPG experience was wiz 6, and I love M&M (I really liked 6), and the HOMM series. In college, I absolutely loved MUD's..spending 5-10 hours/day having no such thing as real life.

I've decided that in order to be truly obsessed with RPG, you have to be at least into your junior year of college, which would explain the average age here.

I just wanna say that I love this forum, and though I don't have many posts, I check it often

I'm 23 from Boulder, Colorado.

My first RPG was D&D. I played it at the age of 7.
My first CRPG was Adventure. I started playing that on a KPRO (KPRO 2 I think). It didn't even take 3 1/2" floppies. I think the game came on 4 or 5 5 and a quarter inch disks. : )

i'm 43, live in Portland, OR working as a lifeguard. My first computer RPG was Captive on an Amiga 1000. I did play D&D in its original form in Winnetka IL with one of Gygax' disciples!!
(I didn't think it was a big deal then, nothing had been published; there weren't any stores full of modules and candy-jars of dice in 1972).

John - in Sacramento.

Don't usually cruise forum's. Reduces playing time. If WIZ8 isn't King of the Time Vampires, it's a strong contender.

56 years old (Going on 400. If it don't hurt, it don't work. Unfortunately, everything works.). Got my MCSE a few weeks ago, working on my MCSD, teaching computers/software/programing locally.

Big fan of Gordie Dickson, Terry Pratchet, and Thomas Sowell.

Been frelling around with computers since '81. I think Proving Grounds was the first program I managed to load. Played (to one extent or another) Bard's Tale, Might n Magic, Baldurs Gate (Another Time Vampire) and a few others.

Biggest complaint about WIZ8; cuts down (durn near eliminated) my bridge playing time.

Biggest question about WIZ8; is anyone still using their ORIGINAL Wizardry party, and from what game? (Wish I could find my old saves, assuming I have them around here somewhere.)

Thank Ghu for automapping.

In civilized countries, women have some rights and may be close to equal. Women are not EXACTLY equal to men, of course, but should have equal access to opportunities. In 90% of the world they don't. I am pro women but do acknowledge there are excesses in laws and entitlements that harm men. We are still working for a balance, aren't we??? (this is too large a topic, let's not expand it too much more). I remember that DWB got some flak for making women more agile and men more strong in Wiz 7. (Some studies show that women make better police officers, ..OK I'll drop it.)

I am kind of miffed at the sexism of having a female-only class in Wiz8 but no male-only class. I think there should be a male-only class, like Priest or Bishop or something.
