Czechs being made to look very ordinary by Ghana. It's been all Ghana in the 2nd half, Czechs looking nothing like the team that destroyed the US. As I type a second goal to Ghana, fantastic goal, 2-0 Ghana. Czech defensive line is shithouse!

Best game of the WC so far for mine in terms of excitement. 2-0 Ghana. Ghanaian players are in tears.

Doesn't really come as a surprise to me, don't forget that the Czechs are missing Jan Koller and Milan Baros, which makes them pretty much powerless. The only scoringpower must now come from their midfield, and Nedved and Rosicky are good, but not THAT good that they can make up for playing without their most important frontline soldiers.

Sometimes the US looks more like an assassination squad than a footballteam. That guy who just got sent off with a red card, was clearly trying to injure that Italian player, he didn't have any intentions of playing the ball. A red card isn't enough as far as i'm concerned, fouls like that can ruin a man's career as an athlete, that guy should be banned from the tournament.

Are you talking about the Italian bloke who elbowed the American bloke in the face?

LOL, another red card given, this time to the US defender. US down to 9. He's dishing out cards here.

That's what i'm talking about, they're no footballteam, they try to cover up their lack of talent with foul play. Not that the Italians have any problems with such a type of play, but they can actually play some decent football if they wish to do so.

I felt those two red cards given to the US were harsh. Look how many he's let go after those in this game alone. The first one was a yellow at best, the second was also harsh. The foulest play I saw was de Rossi elbowing the American bloke in the face, actually.

The first one was a yellow at best ? A tackle from behind is usually a red card, those are the rules. And this was no ordinary tackle either, it was directly aimed at the ankle, which leaves the ref with only one thing left to do, and that's sent him off. A well deserved red card. If you have played football yourself, than you'll know that these are exactly the kind of fouls that can put you on a stretcher. If someone crashes into your ankle at full force from behind, you're lucky if you can walk off the pitch on your own two feet.

My point is that he was inconsistent. He didn't even whistle for fouls for the same offences in the 2nd half.

Here's the American bloke after coming off second best in a collision with de Rossi's elbow.
