"Ussta drin phuul ussta ehmtu!" he barked without hesitance. He paused for a moment, reflecting on his situation. "Ele xun dos ser ussa ji," he said while notioning to the collar, "Vel'drav ol zhah kyreshorl dos inbal naubol ulu inbau dal ussa?"

Unconcerned with a reply, the young drow sat fidgeting with the collar, trying to figure its mechanism. "Ussta dro zhah naut ssran l'degahr," he said faintly.

Translations: Ussta drin phuul ussta ehmtu! (My reasons are my own) ... Ele xun dos ser ussa ji (Why do you keep me so) ... Vel'drav ol zhah kyreshorl dos inbal naubol ulu inbau dal ussa? (When it is obvious you have nothing to gain from me) ... Ussta dro zhah naut ssran l'degahr (My life is not worth the trouble)

A frown flitted across Alliene's dark face,
"Why do you ask, dog? You are the one who attacked me. What did you hope to gain by killing me?" she noticed his fiddling with the collar and cocked her head, "Whether you like it or not, I will have answers from you. A name to call you by, unless you prefer dog. Your House to so I know your city and blood," Alliene rested her chin in her hands, "And if the collar doesn't get what I want, my magic will," she yawned and turned her eyes towards the clouds, knowing the stars were above them, "I never realized there was beauty in this world until I emerged from the Underdark," she murmered to herself quietly, and her face suddenly turned to stone, "And a lot of goodness it has broughten upon me," she said sourly and spat as she remembered her mother and the boy who had been her cousin, her sister's horrid state of being.

[Calaethis Dragonsbane]

Ariaera washed, and Calaethis helped dry the dishes. After this, the priestess bathed him, and placed him in his 'new' room, and told him to sleep. Awaking in the middle of the night, Calaethis timidly found her, and begged to stay with her. Ariarea indulged him, and allowed him to sleep beside him. He felt safe and peaceful near her...

As the days wore on, the priestess taught him more about his draconic blood and form, and how to use it. He fell into a routine - early each morning, from dawn til eight he'd practise his swordsmanship, both in elven form and draconic; then he'd breakfast, and learn magic and knowledge from books, tomes, and from the lore of the priestess. he'd work solidly until eleven, and then Ariaera would tell him to do his chores, which came as a welcome break. After an hour of chores, he'd eat lunch, then study again until five in the evening. Practise with his blade until seven, eat, practise until ten... then sleep until dawn...

He grew to enjoy his time with Ariaera, and although it was hard, he enjoyed being wiht her, and it was almost a holiday, and a restbit from Alliene and the others. During that time, he grew calmer, and learned how to focus his draconic blood, and his outbursts grew less and less. Partly due to the priestess's firm hand, which he felt the flat of many, many times.

Translations: Neitar (Never) ... Dos zhal balbau ussa streea p'los usstan belbau dos ussta kaas (You shall grant me death before I give you my name)

Alliene simply chuckled,
"Very well, dog. I fear you shall remain my pet for some time to come. Now, I don't like my pets to starve, so I'll see about shoving food down your gullet. I'm sure Zachana would enjoy that..." Alliene untied the knot around the leg of the lime stone chair and tugged him back to the manor with her.

Skye cast sad eyes upon Verloren and the state she was in, despite her bardic lore. Pulling out her harp, she started to play a slow melody and humming, keeping eye contact with Verloren the entire time. After a short while the woman's sobs subsided and her hands lost their tight grip on the captain as she slipped into a deeper unconsciousness. Skye rubbed her forehead, a headache starting to form. "I had hoped it wouldn't be necessary to do that strong a bardic charm, but she should be alright for the next three hours or so." Sighing slightly, she pet Khalraan on the head before she left the room, saying to Tyra over her shoulder as she departed "Keep an eye on him, I'll be back in a bit. I'll be nearby if my skills are needed, although I do not seem to have the knowledge to be of much use."

Skye walked for a time, and found herself outside, her feet directing her towards one of the many gardens at Verloren's manor. Passing Alliene along the way, she unconsciously bowed slightly, her mind elsewhere. Almost walking into the half-drow's scowling tag-along she murmured an appology before seating herself beneath a tree near a fountain. Pulling out her harp, Skye stared at it for a long while, her mind clouded with doubt about her bardic ability. Drawing a ragged breath she finally closed her eyes and pulled and plucked at the strings, drawing a mercurious melody out of the carved wood. Opening her mouth she started to sing softly

She trailed off with a distant look in her eyes, while her fingers continued to play the tune.

ooc-nice skye. I dun think we need the trans, although since i'm used to seeing japanese in script, with all the funny drawings, i took it for either that or some form of elvish [img]tongue.gif[/img]

The Captain of the Royal Guard released his queen's shoulder's as she sank back into the pillows, looking somewhat at peace, for once. He stood and bowed to Tyra,
"Pardon, my lady. I am in need of food and rest myself. If anything untoward appears on her Majesty, please, come and wake me; my quarters are not far from hers, on the second floor," With one more troubled look at Verloren, he took his leave.

"Of course Captain," Tyra replied softly, "Would you prefer me to watch over her for a while whilst you rest?" She looked at Khalraan, "I'm sure you have something better to do then sit in the corner there, please Khalraan, leave her ladies room." She noticed Sylquis had also entered the room, and was watching with concern; worry was painted on her features. Tyra gave a helpless look at the captain, "Shall I ask all of the children to leave, Sir?"

'But I want to make sure missus Verloren's going to be ok, lady Tyratria'
His mouth curled up, and sad eyes formed, Khal gazed into Tyra's eyes, but soon saw it was not enough to sway the older elf's decision.
Khal left the room, and walked down the stairs to the ground floor of Verloren's estate, and headed out into her gardens.
