ut I'm not really concerned Kim Milton Nielsen (from Denmark) is the referee - he's the man who sent off Beckham against Argentina in France '98.

I see that the sheep are still BLEATING about conspiracy in a clutching-at-straws effort to explain away their teams’ poor form.
At the end of the day, the FACTS are:

im sorry, but i just cant help it!!!
ronaldo says beckhams shirt smelled of perfume after last days game, 'o fenomeno' swapped his shirt with beckham, and to his surprise it smelled very good. "normally, the shirts we exchange after the match dont smell very well, since they are all sweaty. however, beckhams smelled of perfume", the brasilian striker explained, who jokingly added,"you can tell he takes good care of himself". the thing is even more strange considering he played the entire match and the temperature during the game was around 30º celsius.

I take it you think i'm one of the sheep memnoch, but conspiracy is one word i never used, just very bad arbitrage that had a big impact on some of the results.

The problem is that with so few matches remaining - we have to find something to discuss - otherwise this thread will end up on page two!
And arguing over the calls from the referees have and always will be a favourite pasttime among footballfans - I mean everybody knows that all referees are blind people without their guidedogs And I haven't mentioned a conspiracy - but lets face it - South Korea progessed twice with the help of bad descisions from the referees and lost when they didn't get any 'help'. I don't really care whether the referees were bribed or not (we'll probably never know for sure - after all you can't prove that they weren't) - but I challange anyone to argue the fact that (for instance) Spain was robbed of two totally legel goals.

Anyhow, Sepp Blatters has been criticising the ref. decisions. The refs aren't blind though, it's just theat they don't have the benefit of TV replays to make a decision. In cricket we had probs with umpireing until we added a third TV umpire. Perhaps there should be a second TV ref, that makes a call if referred to by the on-field ref. Makes more sense to me. |
