I'll try my hand at poetry too

I stand at the window
staring into the golden light
Below the green land is waiting
Birds flying high, their voices calling
The warm sun glinting off their feathers
Trees growing slowly amid blue flowers
Dewdrops gather upon the grass
I can never return

At the horizon, the blue sea beginning
Waves splashing gently on the shore
Dolphins playing in the deep
Gulls soaring above the water
A school of fish below them
Peace is everywhere
Yet I can never return

I stand at the window
looking at the paradise
I can never go back there
Never again in all of time
I turn away from the window
To face into the endless night.
