“Names….hmm…” Jena thought out loud as she ran her delicate fingers over the edge of her chin.

“Gerrad? Cordern? Furnst?” Hoping one of these possibly was correct, but doubting it, Jena turned toward Aeriah and shrugged helplessly.

Aeriah leaned forward and closed his eyes. For several minutes he mumbled in elven under his breath. Raising a finger and slowly opening his eyes, his lips formed into a slight smile on his handsome face. “Asden?”

The lion blinks. Repeatedly.

Fairioni holds back her laughter as she says "Thhiro?" The sabertooth lion purrs and bumps Jena's hand, apparently wanting to get petted.

Meanwhile, Fairioni takes point and starts walking again, albeit slowly.

Smiling, the pretty young human female ran her hand along the top of the lion's head. It's silky fur was soft to her touch, almost feather-light.

"You're right, Aeriah, She is beautiful."

OOC: Probably the last post before Christmas from me -- so I'll "see" you all in the New Year. Happy Christmas and all. Since Rika's not posting that much, I'll add something for Jena. Anyway, must dash! Cyas!

Aeriah nodded with a smile, "Yes, yes she is." Almost idly, as though his thoughts were drifting elsewhere, his touch as light as snowflakes carressing the air, he gently ran his own hand through the lion's fur, the creature soothing further under his combined touch with Jena's. "I suggest we proceed..." he finished quietly, and grinned suddenly, "Come on you," he told the lion, "Let's go explore!".

The beast growled in agreement, though it looked up questioningly at Jena first.

Ooc: I am assuming the lion is female? Someone please correct me if I’m wrong. Have a merry Christmas everyone. Btw I’ll be oot from this Friday through Sunday and won’t post. Also…what is the lion’s name? I’m a bit confused. Ty! -GG

The nippy air caressed Jena’s cheeks, causing them to become a rosy tinge. The gentle corners of her lips curved upward into a pleasant smile, and she looked extremely adorable as she grinned beneath her hooded cloak. Her sapphire eyes danced with an adventuresome excitement, and tenderly she slid her hand under the lion’s chin, rubbed gently, causing her to purr and turn her head eagerly, anticipating more affection.

Aeriah’s face beamed as he gently slid his right hand around the curve of Jena’s waist.

“I believe she has taken a liking to you, dear Jena. It really doesn’t surprise me at all, however.”

Aeriah took a moment and gazed compassionately at Jena. He had never met anyone before that seemed to radiate the kind of beauty, the loving affection, the gentleness, empathy, kindness, and care that she did. She was…unique, and he wanted more than anything to be with her after all this was over, but he understood that there was the possibility that they would not be able to be together. Strangely, he was beginning to accept the circumstances, and no matter how difficult it would be in the end, he finally realized that whatever happened he would still, and always, have a place in his heart for her.

A snowflake landed on Jena’s nose, and, turning, she grinned.

“I made her purr! She likes me!”

“Yes, that she does.”
Jena smiled brightly as she turned toward the other companions.

“Let’s move on, shall we? Or does anyone wish to rest for a bit before continuing?”

Jena noticed that the lion remained close to her side, nuzzling her legs and waist affectingly. Perhaps she had a new companion……

IC: Meanwhile, Fairioni is already out of sight of the party. As she looks at the road ahead, she blinks and runs back, barely avoiding the shock.

As she turns back around the road she sighs "Prepare for combat, we've got some goblins ahead, perhapse some of those lizard thingys.".

As to put the truth to her words, arrows suddendly spin out. One of them hits Fairioni in her arm and she grits her teeth, pullign it out [3 HP damage dealt.] Jena and Thhro manage to dodge the arrows.

Fairioni turns around and aiming her bow, releases it, the lead goblin taking it in the heart and reducing it to staggering as it -still- charges [3 HP damage dealt.].

Five other goblins, including one chanting a spell to Able looks suspicioulsy like a raise the dead spell, charge the group, the arrows from a spot behind them out of sight of the party members.

Artelm quickly sought the safety of the shadows(DM check?),and then sought cover, all the while one hand on his bow, ready to draw it once an appropriate spot was found.

EDIT : Oops. my mistake. I should have warned you. The 2 hp damage dealt was me as DM. (I rolled a 2.) As for the damage dealt, your total declare is 12. So.

Rika, be nice, please? This is her first time at combat, unless I'm mistaken. Anyway, just to clarrify, a DM will declare damage - however, you're free to state your actions - the DM just states the success of those actions. I was just stopping by to check my email and thought I'd drop by. Hope you're all still having fun. Aeriah's HP is stated on his sheet btw, (which is in the sign up thread). 18hp shoulds good for the lion [img]smile.gif[/img] . As to what gender "it" is - I don't know. Aeriah just called it a "her", and as to the name, you lot can decide, or call "her" a name of your own choosing. Ah, sounds like lunch is ready. Gotta dash, cyas ^^. Have a Merry Christmas all. Maybe I'll post some more later -- seeing as there's a foot of snow outside, and its too dangerous to drive (really), there's not much else to do here. *sigh* oh well.
Anyway, back to the original topic - for the purposes of game-play, Rika decides damage dealt, and the HP of the lion and whatever else - you (players) just state your actions. Its fairly simple once you get the hang of it [img]smile.gif[/img]
Here's both an example, and Aeriah's action -
IC:
Aeriah casts 'true strike' and strikes the nearest adversary with the palm of his hand. He will destroy the goblin with the intent to render it unconscious, but protect Jena and the lion, and drive the others away. Since they do not appear to be interested in dialogue, he will slay those who do not flee, but will show mercy to those who have the sense to flee. However, he will try to capture a prisoner to interogate later.

OOC: Edit, nice job with Aeriah so far, btw, TheMuse [img]smile.gif[/img]
