A New Beginning

Bakilas raises one of his pistols and carefully takes aim at the injury on vlads neck. He fires a few rounds hoping to make one direct hit to the neck wound.

Thalali fall to the floor his one arm useless.
He saw Storm take out his guns and lay another load of fire into Vlad. Then he saw Bakilis, whom he thought was not going to fight, fire bullets strait at the neck wound Storm had made before. Half Dazed, he crawls away to a corner to concentrate on his wounds.

Thalali crawled away his arm a useless husk, while gunshots sounded loudly in the air, Larry Storm managed to put a few holes in the vampire, which barely seemed to slow it, but Bakilas' neckshot seemed to aggravate the wound, causing him to stagger and fall. He let out a piercing wail and his flesh seemed to dissolve leaving only a large pool of blood on the ground.

Bakilas hosters his weapon and walks over to Thalali. "Did you take any serious injuries?"
Without waiting for an answer he turns and kneels next to the pool of blood that was once Vlad.

The room was alive with the nauseating stench of blood. Fresh, warm blood... and everything that she saw seemed to be throbbing, the crimson red enveloping its arms around her. As she floundered about attempting to pull herself away from inertia, the repugnance of it all sent a trajectory of vomit shooting out from her mouth. Bleary-eyed, wretched and in shock, she could only bend over, steadying her posture by placing her trembling hands upon her filth-ridden knees.

"H... help..." ~ She gasped, hoping Storm would come to her aid.

He watched Bakilas tend to Thalali, then walk over to examine the shot-up vamire enemy. "Be careful with that guy! He might jump up any minute and tear your heart out..."

Then Storm spotted the girl, nearly unconscious and suffering shock. He ran over to tend to her.

Speaking softly, he said Do not be afraid. We are here to help you. I may be one of them, but I was a human once...not to very long ago. Less than a year ago in fact. It was not my desire and I have lost my family because of this. But I am still who I was born as. My name I used when I was alive was Larry.

Don't lose consciousness. Fight to stay awake...you can do it. Stay with me now. You can do it. ...

"I doubt that he is going to jump up anytime soon Storm, he is nothing more then a pool of liquid. I am half tempted to drink the blood that lies here as his corpse. How is the human? If she is not dead you could bring her over here, I am in need of a feed."

"I... I want to." ~ She murmured deliriously, drifting in and out of the grotesque scene before her ~ I have to. ~ Reaching out with her left hand, she extended it further, further towards Larry's right wrist which seemed so far away and so evasive ~ "T... take me..." ~ Her unwilling eye roved about frenziedly ~ "... take me home..." ~ Pass a second, then another... ~ She resisted the urge to just break down and cry away her terrors ~ "...away from this p... place..."

Wait for me, Beaulieu... wait for Mommy to come home. ~ Her eyes turned moist with helplessness ~ Wait for me. ~ Was she going insane? It certainly seemed so. But anyone who had just passed a lonely, pathetic New Year's Eve, half-killed by a creepy freak before reaching home... one who had passed the rest of the evening with her beloved soft toy and drowsily to bed... only to wake up to this infernal world of violence, cruelty and then compassion... could surely be forgiven for this display of utter despair and bewilderment.

"Please." ~ The word burst from her tongue urgently ~ "Bring me home."

Thalali stood up, feeling a bit better after healing for a few minutes. He turned to Bakilas,We should leave and take her with us, she may have the information the boss wanted. He hoped that excuse would keep the human alive, at least for a few more hours.

Gwynne cursed in her head. The sounds of battle had died away, ending in a shriek from what she assumed to be the "master" of the house. She thought quickly. I can warn the others of the creatures and give away my position, or I could stay here and they would probably die. She huffed slightly, then gathering herself she sprung from the shadows and swiftly and silently ran down the stairs, passing some of the creatures. Gwynne hoped that she was moving too fast for them to really notice her, but she doubted that she wouldn't be spotted. Upon reaching the doorway she quickly surveyed the scene.

"Prepare yourself, his minions come," she warned them. "If you are in bad need of blood, I'm willing to offer mine as long as you don't kill me... of course, I will be useless in battle afterwards." she glanced at the frightened human girl and her looks softened into a smile. "There is nothing to be afraid of. We'll get you out of here... why don't you come stand by me, I will not try to drink your blood. While they may have good intentions, if their lust overcomes them, they cannot help themselves." she gestured towards the vampyres. "It's best not to tempt fate." Gwynne offered her hand towards her in a friendly gesture.
