How do we find out who hired Neb's Guild? Would it have been Mistral's former "master"?

As for who could have sent the thieves, I am okay if you think my character's former master sent them... I think it's been free and easy so far, right?

She gratefully takes the rag and presses it against the gash. Biting her lips to prevent from wincing ~ Don't be such a baby, Mistral! ~ Her eyes focus on Grindall and the rest of her companions ~ "I... I guess we should move on before we're battered to death. But before we go..." Rummaging through her bag intently, she produces the rope, healing potions and antidotes ~ "... let's share these. Grindall shall have the rope."

Grindall, Fielderaan, Rogovich, Waverider and Mistral distribute the potions among themselves; each now as 1 potion of extra healing, 1 antidote (cure poison) and 1 potion of cure disease.

Guildmaster Kerrick has given me access to blade venom. There is enough for all to have 3 doses each (if Mistral and Wave don't use edged weapons, then 3 each for Fielderaan, Grimdall and Madman)

Neb had met quickly with his new group, two master psionics, two skilled mages and four assasins were his new companions, them, and this.....

Neb watched the sword hover in the air in front of him and waited for it to make it's move, one of the pieces on the chessboard between them lifted itself off the board and floated to a new position on it, a voice inside Neb's head said, "Check.", he smiled and moved one of his knights, "Checkmate." he said, again the voice inside his head, "Damnit, lost three times in a row, you're my most skilled wielder so far..... I challenge you to a rematch."
"Later," said Neb and shoved chesspieces into a cloth bag, "We have to be going soon, so we should be training instead."
"Very well."
"It is going to be interesting working with you Gilgamesh, I've never wielded an intelligent weapon before...."
