Yikes, it's warm in TX, then! Not too bad here, but then we expect thunderstorms for the next few days and rain all week!

Bring the clouds here, I could use the shade. Our store thermometer which are in the shade have been showing highs of 104 F the past few days. Add to that the fact theat we are watering and the humidity is around 70-90% most of the day as well. I'm also living in the home of air pollution, at least if it doesn't live here it summers here. We've had red alert pollution days for over a week.
Bring me clouds and bring me rain. Just do something to ease my pain. antryg- bad poetry a specialty |

Just stopping in to say goodbye. Thanks to Timber for the suggestions of places to visit, and I'll speak to you all in two weeks. Bye bye!

btw, I'm wanting too plant a tree in my back yard right? Well the tree I want is a tree that is living in the wild, all over the place, I just wonder if anyone catches me digging up a young one on park/govt property if I will get busted LOL. Even though I've seen these trees in total wood/vine/weed tangled mess, along highways, etc., not a tree hard to find in other words. I figure most of these "park authorities" don't give a crappa about any particular tree the parkland, these trees just kind of pop up on their own naturally, aka, "weed trees." The tree I'm talking about is a Silk Tree. I just love them, don't care that most consider them "weed trees,"same as my Lantanas flowers, they grow wild in some places and are considered "weeds". Call me a lover of the dismissed. I love the smell of a silk tree in bloom, and these trees so LOVE hot dry weather, they totally thrive, hardy as hell. I'm gonna get one, one way or another LOL. |

Lady Z, you East Coast people are always making me think. I might even have to open one of my books. Are the blooms of the silk tree pink and does it have long flat seed pods? If it is a mimosa, I don't think anyone would mind if you "borrow" one. If it is small it shouldn't be hard to transplant as the roots tend to stay shallow, especially when young. It also wouldn't hurt it to be transplanted during the summer.
Seriously, don't take anything away from state or federal lands, either roadside or park. They tend to do more than frown on that here in Texas, even if it is something they don't seem to want. |
