and i believe there may be a way to restore that paladin status, but it requires forgery, a nice pen, the cover of night and a hawk...

okay, heres what you do...
im cutting out the forgery part and going to kidnapping. we kidnap the head of the order in the cover of night. we use the hawk as a distraction to all the pedestrians in the area, and when they see the hawk in peril they will either run or try to help the hawk, ignoring the predicament of the head of the Order. that leaves us free to drag him back to our stronghold and force him to sign a document saying that Jerome's paladin status is reinstated! and also, the document will be laminated and given metallic edges immediately after it is signed so that neither of them can either tear ir cut it up.

so, how's the plan?

ah, i have the whole thing planned out! you know that big statue and park in the government district? he walks past it every night at approximately eleven o'clock at night. we lie in wait there, and when he walks by, we nab him! dont worry, i have prepared a fast-acting sleeping poison similar to what Drow war parties to use in case he's escorted.
