Alliene drew Vilzraquath and dropped into a crouch, "Concede nothing. I am drow, I know no mercy." She launched herself at him.

The demon cast aside his blade, and let Alliene's blade enter him, and as he lay dying hissed, "Fool... with my death, you assure your own destruction... for within me... breathes a beast... a demon... flee whilst you still can, I tried warning you, but you fools would not listen. his breathing was rasping, and his voice grew weaker. "My demonic blood... not my doing... freedom... beware... the darkness... thank you... for release..." and he collasped on the drow's blade, and then a moment of silence. A faint sound was heard, a tearing of flesh... of tenon, bone...

"Bloody demon...I don't need another." Alliene quickly cast dimension door and shooed Alae through it, then pointed to the portal with Vilzraquath, "In, dragon. NOW." Alaerth harrumphed and lept through it, scattering surprised drow on the other side, Alliene not far behind...

The trio managed to get through the portal just as the sound of a yipping demon emerged from the corpse. Upon their return, the priestess greeted Alae, and the red-rimmed and tearful eyed elven girl looked up at Alae, happy to see her. Still, she said nothing, and snuggled down in the priestess's arms. The warrior rose and bowed to her matron. Zennenn emerged and bowed too.

Alliene nodded to each then snapped her fingers. Alaerth suddenly changed back to his humanoid form, stumled, and collapsed where he stood. Alae sighed and sat next to him, smoothing out his hair,
"From what I can see you did good. Anything unusual happen that I should know about?" She directed the question to a couple of the priestesses. |

The female also murmered an apology. "Not a thing, my lady. Save the genasi trying to slaughter all of the elves who laid down their arms..." The priestess holding Myri replied.
Arlyth stood at the entrance to a small cave. They'd traveled for hours and had finally reached their destination. The Drow priestess stood beside the boy, her arm around his shoulders. The rest of the party stood someway off, camped below the moutain. Arlyth entered the cave, the priestess at his side... |

Arlyth felt an odd presence in his mind, drawing him forward. The cave was pitch black, and not even infravision would penetrate it. He somehow knew where to go though...almost like an instinct.
Finally, after walking for about a minute (that seemed like an hour), Arlyth and the priestess entered a seperate chamber. It was a perfectly smooth dome shaped rock chamber, and in the center, upon a plain stone pedastal, was a blade. The hilt was a deep shining silver, and up it he could clearly see a golden serpentine dragon. The presence seemed to be originating from the sword, and it bade him forward still. The priestess waited at the entrance. |

Arlyth swallowed, his father's sword, lying on the pedastal. He swallowed and sighed. Then he walked over and picked it up, and felt it contect with his mind. Then slowly, the silver blade turned obsidian. The twin dragons Sssiks'barra and Sssiks vress'lve turned silver. The eyes remained red and green, however. The priestess's eyes widened. Arlyth spoke deep within his mind... to the swords voice...

Hello, Arlyth. I am Tagnik'Zurjess, forged centuries ago by Matron Alliene. I see Calaethis has finally handed you over to me. My color reflects that of you inner-most self, if you were wondering. Now, get me out of this cave and let us return to you cousins...I'm sure my creator will be most displeased to see me. It chuckled.

Arlyth swallowed, and whispered, "Who are you... you... sound like my father..." he paused as the information hit him like a wave, and then it slowed down. Tenderly, the sword carressed his mind, bonding itself with him, and giving him the knowledge he so eagerly sort. About his past, the history between his father. The young elf's eyes narrowed at Alliene's behaviour, and he was aghast at his father's. Calaethis had been a strict and stern father, always... so serious. Arlyth knew his father loved him, but... he was nothing like that in the image the sword showed him... rude, childish, immature.. and... so confused, frightened and... completely opposite to how he was. Arlyth swallowed as the sword showed him how much Calaethis loved his cousin, Alliene. It was... errie. And how Calaethis had met his mother... and how she was. It scared Arlyth.
He finally broke out of his trance and looked at the priestess, the sword in his hand, the it's obsidian blade glowing. The priestess raised her eyebrows when she saw the blade. "You... you are Sui'aerluuthli Olathslyan... 'Arcaneblue Darkstar'..." the boy swallowed, "Why did you bring me here? To convert to your cause? Why did you betray Alliene? You were once her handmaiden... ...Or... he paused, "Perhaps you still are..." The priestess smiled, and walked over to the boy, "So it worked. Welcome Arlyth, son of Calaethis." she kissed his brow and embraced him warmly. Arlyth smiled up at her, and they walked out of the cave, blade in hand. The rejoined the party of drow and the two elves. "Mistress! Trouble!" one of the drow said, "A dragon approaches! We cannot tell what colour it is!" The sword hissed in Arlyth's mind, "Arlyth, get us out of here. The dragon has been sent to destroy you, and you are no match for it yet. You have not been able to release my full potiencal yet... you must flee! Take them with you." Arlyth swallowed, and nodded. His eyes were a curious green when speaking to the blade, much like his father's had been. Sui'aerl saw this, and asked, "What is it Arlyth?" the elves and drow looked questioningly at their mistress. "We leave now." the boy's tone was a mature one, and one of command. "Stand back, then step through." Holding the sword upright, he focused his mind on it, and cast Dimension Door, the sword acting as an amplifier, allowing the portal to reach great distances. "Through here. It will take us back to Alliene." his smile was grim, and the drow and elves stared at him in awe. Sui'aerl merely smiled. They formed their defensive formation around Arlyth and they stepped through. No time had passed since Arlyth had left, something to do with the plane's magic (yes the sword was on another plane). "Alae, Alaerth. Alliene." greeted a voice. An elf's voice. It had maturity in it... it sounded centuries old. "I have returned. As I said I would." the three spun around to see Arlyth standing there, looking as he always had, save his eyes. They were... older. He looked at Alliene, unafraid. "You've changed." he said softly. The blade, obsidian was unsheathed in his right hand, and the dragons silver. "I am not my father drow, though I have his memories. The memories of the sword." The elf's... self confidence had increased, self assured, unafraid, yet never disrepectful. He was not arrogant, or over-confident. "I am... what should have been." he whispered softly, "To fix a mistake..." it was almost as though the sword was speaking. He looked at Alae, and smiled. Arlyth was Arlyth again, and the sword had stopped speaking through him. "How did it go?" he asked her, his tone warm. The two elven priestesses stood behind the young elf, and he was the very image of an elven lord, despite his youth. The drow, still surrounding him, appeared to have shrunk somewhat; in aura. Sui'aerl was the only one who wasn't affected and her smiled was dark. "Mistress," she said, "I need to speak with you - it went as well as could be expected." she nodded her head. Alae would recognise her, so would Alaerth. Arlyth had positioned himself between them and the priestess. Smiling he said, "Do not look so confused, cousins. Think it was any surprise she took me aside and protected me?" He waited for their replies. Alliene no doubt would be |
