Sighing resignedly, he gets up on his feet again. Looking around, he sees first Gavrouche, then Raymond dashing back towards the exit of the sewers ~ Will they double-cross me?! ~ And he takes after them without a further glance at Eliza.

Realising that she is now left alone in the sewers, she feels the panic starting again. Hurriedly, she scrambles to her feet and sprints as fast as her legs can carry her, towards the men...

What I would really like is for the both of you to continue with your stories (and together, where agreed). Pls feel free to drag, RP or dump my characters aside if they are hindering the advancement of the plot. The worst thing is for this thread to hang completely until my return, so pls do just what you like

He rises to his feet as the intruder screams. Pebbles bounce off his head as he falls to the ground.

Spotting Sorsha not that far away, Legolas starts walking over. But she only has eyes for the intruder. Rushes over and screams at him. Then starts sobbing.

He climbs over the fence and takes a position beside her.
"Good shot" he wispers, though the ranger doubts she even cares right now.

Putting an arm over her sholders, his eyes take in the man on the ground.

"And what is YOUR story?"

He had turned his attention to the yard again as he heard a clinging noise not far away. It came from the street on the other side of his neatly trimmed hedge. Or rather, it came from below, echoing up.

There must be my unfortunate victim now. I hope he does not want a refund

Ni quickly turned his back to the street, or would have done so quickly had he been younger. Taking up a shovel, the bald man dug about a bit in the earth, pretending to be busy and unaware of the incident. His order was not a rich one, and the abbot wouldn't approve if Ni payed the sewer dweller. For was it not written: 'If the egg leaves the nest, momma won't have a chick'?

"Oh...my head...Couldn't she use softer pebbles? Oh...alright...I heard these two guys talking about knocking off your friends in there, and thought that I might have time to get in and grab a few trinkets before anyone was the wiser. Honest!
Besides...you don't want to turn me into the authorities...who would lead you to the murderers? If I hanged for the death of those inside, you would have it on your hearts for the rest of your lives that the real killers are still out there, gloating over their kill!

He looks at Sorsha's face as the thief talks. She does not seem to believe him, anger and sadness flowing toward the surface once more. The elf realises he would have to do most of the talking.

"First, you tell us your name. Then you will hand over all you have stolen."

Another look at the girl tells him she cares little for the thief, nor the valuables. It's the murderer she wants to lay her hands on.

"Once that's over with, you will give us all the information you have on the ones you claim killed this family."

Legolas gives the rogue a harsh stare.

"Fine, whatever...Here, take the blasted stuff...I didn't even get anything of real value, before you two came barging in. The name's Jaime. I am not from this city, nor does anyone really know me, so don't waste your time trying to find dirt on me. As to the men bragging over their easy victory, they were in the Pub when I heard them talking. I was under the floor, in a dug out that I had made. I used to work there, for a month or so, so I had time on my hands and closed the shop in the evenings. Get it? So anyway, I was listening to those guys talking and they said that they would rondevous at a place called Sea Witch...I never heard of it. Good luck finding them, and I will be on my way, thank you...
