Well, I've been lurking on this board since early January but just registered this week (I have this thing about cookies. I don't like them ).

Anyway, I'm 36 and live in the DFW metroplex. I'm a web application programmer and I'm unmarried but a doting aunt (5 nieces, 1 nephew and 1 on the way -- I told you I was doting. )

I started off with AD&D back in '79 and played various tabletop gaming systems for years. I too flirted with Pong and some of the old games on a Trash-80 but really got into the 1st gen video games. Strangely enough, I found myself getting away from them about the time they started developing all the various simulators and now I can't stand them at all. I am somewhat of a late-comer to computers, having taught myself how to use a 386 in '90 but I've come a long way since then.

I have been playing Wizardry since 6 and just completed my first Wiz8 game with the first party I ever took through Bane - they deserve all sorts of kudos for the length of time they've hung around waiting to finish the saga. I'm looking forward to going back and bringing all of my other parties through (I've got about 20 savegames) and THEN I'm going to start over with all new characters and see how -that- goes.

Welcome Jem and Jacqueline! Nice to meet you both!
Argh, I really have my work cut out for me if I am going to figure the current average age LOL!
Can I use the excuse that I lost my calculator at school until I get another one to replace it?!

And don't forget the "standard deviation" of the ages. Deviates come in all ages. I think the newly met statistician may appreciate that we have a definate "skewness", not to mention the dreaded kurtosis! The cure for that is illusive and subtle. But, just a "moment"...Must be the cats (funny how the Felpurs and Rawulfs get along in this game, you would think there would be some inner rivalry there). This is a good board and a good game, I also will miss new Wizardries. "..for they are subtle and quick to anger" (J.R.R.T. LotR, also used in B5)

Well done!

(I missed scanning the post you might be refering to, but what is the average median age of those responding? )

Whatever it is, I'm over it . 61, grey beard, and I've been married for 40+ years to the same 19-year old redhead:-}}

I'll add my info too, to help boost that post number. I'm 22 years old and I live in Radford VA. I currently..well, am unemployed. But hey, more time to play Wiz 8, right? My first RPG (if you consider it one) was King's Quest 2 on my old Tandy 1000. It was killer. I have a tank full of snails, 9 plants, 2 mice, and one very cranky scorpion. Wizardry 8 is the first game of the series I've played and I'm sad there won't be anymore.

Same person!
"Moni" was taken on that board when I tried to sign up with it.
I haven't been over there in a while! School work limits my free time online and Ironworks is usually my first choice of bookmarks.

Its great to see you here!

is "Choc", and he belongs to the webmaster, Ziroc.
He would be honored to be in your sig I am sure.

I can do that...I even found my calculator yesterday.

It will have to wait until one day during the coming week though since my day is already planned out and about to get busy in about fifteen minutes.

This is the weekend and I am supposed to be getting out.

Ziggarut,
The "standard deviation" of the ages will be included LOL.
Does it make a difference that I am a deviate?

Dale,
it hasn't bee ncalculated in quite some time, but yeah, you are over it. Probably not by far though.

Welcome Al-Araxis!
We are all sad that this is the last of the series.
I'm very grateful for its re-playability...this one is going to keep me busy for quite some time!
