Switzerland is indeed a rich country. Most of can't even afford to have a coffee passing through Being the world's banker (well, some elements of it!) is quite lucrative, I do believe. Being a neutral country probably pays dividends also! I should think their arms budget is quite low. Just guessing here........

The graphs I found on the site were regarding GDP per capita and unemployment. There were many other interesting ones as well.

The rambling on Defense and Social Security come from news stories, I've seen and budget discussion. That's why I didn't site any numbers on those. I think it would be very interesting to look at the world's defense spending on a graph.

One thing that's great about the internet is there's so much information, but one thing that sucks about the internet is that there is so much information

I'm not having a very good time spelling tonight...lol. There is nothing more painful to see than a quote from one of your posts with a misspelling in it! Knowing I can't fix it drives me insane (more insane than usual). When Ziroc adds a spell checker to IW he will truly be the lord and master of the net IMO. I don't care if my ideas suck, but my spelling...well that had better be right I'm waaaaaay too anal retentive

Amber are you saying that you havent noticed that some of Yoricks posts have been down right insulting to other people? That IMO is BS. You cant have looked through this forum without noticing it at least once, I mean there was a thread about it in GD for godsakes. I know he isnt the only one who does this but the point that anti-war people get publicly denounced for doing the same thing that Yorick does, whos posts get convieniently overlooked by the same moderators etc who tell the anti-war people that if they dont settle down and stop it they will be banned. It is a double standard pure and simple.

Let's let this go. SC has talked to Neb, and plans to talk to Hiram, and has said her peace to Cloudy and Cloudy her peace to SC. If there is anything left to be said between them, let them do it in PM, ok?

I'm not siding with anyone in this, I just want to let it resolve itself, which is the best way. It's a misunderstanding at worst.

Let's talk about lasagna instead! I have a great recipe for half-vegan zucchini lasagna...lol

Az, I'm talking about a specific thread that was mentioned. And as I said, if ANYone posts the kind of personal or sarcastic/biting things I've been talking about, no, it's not ok. HOWEVER, I'd have to say that I've noticed Yorick (since you mentioned him) do it a few times (I admit I don't read this forum cover to cover so-to-speak, no matter what you may think ) but I've noticed several others do it repeatedly even within one thread.

BTW, I have posted in several places that I agree, that posting flames or personal insults (yes, even if it's Yorick!) is wrong in my opinion. For the record, I have seen Memnoch chastise Yorick on several occasions, but I'm not really arguing this point here, Adam, I'm talking about this specific incident in this thread and as far as I know, Yorick is not an issue here. Hiram's post and the replies plus the CURRENT general degrading of tone, were what I was concerned about.

If you haven't tried my zucchini lasagna you should. It doesn't taste like it has zucchini in it at all because I'm a bad cook....lol.

Mushrooms are a good alternative (I actually use both). Similar texture to meat when cooked, but no fat or calories

Cloudy, check your PM's.

Az, I do know what you mean! But have to say when dieting , I actually had tofu and LIKED it.. in manicotti, so I'm willing to try something like this if it doesn't have too many icky things in it!

Wow!!! I'm offline for a few hours and this thread explodes out to 6 pages!!!

I'm still catching up and am on page 4.

I must say ... Barry the Sprout's little "Internation Marxist" manifesto certainly seems to be worth a reply... As well as Silver Cheetah's "enery" reply.
