It's Ultima Worlds of Adventure 1: Savage Empire. Was a long time ago that I played the game, but the name Edon rang a bell

Okay.. for good time's sake I'll go for an old game: Civilization. In the game you could choose between two modes "Earth" and "New Game".

It was possible to win the game in "Earth" mode (Chieftain difficulty) with a specific people by using a very specific line of advances, being the world's only power by 400 B.C.

The Question: What people/race am I talking about and name me at least two advances necessary for accomplishing the above mentioned tactic.

I knew that last one had something to do with Eden...oh well.
Ok CIV, didn't know about that...let me think...was it the Americans, with Gunpower and Roads.

I had a game where I got railroad in 600 BC, so getting gunpowder in 400. By winning in 400 BC do you mean overrunning al opponents?

Civilization could be won by two means:
1) Defeating all opponents
2) Getting your spaceship complete and sending it to outer space.

I can imagine you'll understand there won't be any spaceships in 400 BC Gunpowder is obtainable, yes you're right. I was thinking too far ahead (got myself mixed up with units like Artillery instead of Musketeers)

And you're pretty close Target. Keep guessing

Nope. Still not correct. Wheel is one of the correct advancements, though. The Chariot unit is a must-have because of the ability to move two fields in one turn Saves you a lot of time!

HINT: How would you want to conquer America? Surely not by foot
