[Calaethis Dragonsbane]

"Yes Ali..." Cal's reply died as she dissapeared. He stripped and changed into his nightclothes. Sighing, he pillaged a pillow or two, and placed them at the foot of the bed. At least the floor was carpeted, thickly. Grabbing his bedroll, he laid that out as well, and covered himself with his cloak. Soon he was asleep.

Alliene glanced around her apartments and noted happily that everything was in place and untouched. Moving quickly, she walked through the silent House and located the slaves sleeping quarters. Most of them sat up in fear when she kicked the door open, then shrank back beneath their covers when they recognized her. Alliene grabbed the closest one, a frail elven female,
"You, I require a slave collar and a leash to go with it. Fetch it quickly elf, I do not want to be standing here all night,"
"Of course, Matron Streea," the trembling elf curtsied and ran out the door.
Alliene followed her out and leaned on the door frame until she returned carrying a large metal collar with a stout leather leash, handing it to Alliene timidly,
"My thanks, elf. Return to bed," the gril bobbed her head and darted back into the slaves quarters. Sighing, Alliene left a glyph on the wall that would inform Sui'aerl that she had stopped by, and cast her Dimension Door back into her rooms at Verloren's estates. Dropping the leash on a desk near the bed, Alliene let her robe drop to the floor, and she slid happily under her stone gray silk sheets, falling asleep instantly.

The dark elf sat in seclusion, pondering about his condition. "L'chath wund ussa flamgra xuil plithut," he grumbled. His gaze slowly narrowed while his ears shifted backwards. There it was: silence.

He cautiously made his way to the door, and tried his luck at opening it. It wouldn't budge; the elg'caress must have placed a ward upon it. Within his mind, he cursed. He placed his back to the door, and slowly slid to the floor. He wasn't about to give in.

"Vel'bol zhahus ol?" he whispered to himself. He sat there motionless for nearly an hour before stirring again.

The drow stood for a moment before moving towards the center of the room. The marble flooring would have to do; actually, it would do nicely. He grinned at the thought. He removed his sword from its scabbard, and grasped the blade with each hand, making sure to cut deep enough for the blood to trickle. After which, he began making the appropriate symbols upon the stone slabs.

Translations: L'chath wund ussa flamgra xuil plithut (The fires within me burn with hatred) ... Vel'bol zhahus ol? (What was it?)

Alliene woke with a start as a tingling sensation filled her body. That would be her ward informing her something was going on in the living room. Growling, she pushed back the covers and retrieved her robe from the floor, slipping it quickly on. After stepping over the sleeping form of Calaethis, she pressed her ear against the door. A soft murmuring floated through. So, he was casting a spell was he? Alliene shoved the door open and saw the drow bent over a glyph that her mage training told her it was a component for a summoning spell, a nasty one at that, if it required his blood. Already in a foul mood from her cousin's behavior, and now from being woken up, her drow wrath overwhelmed her sea-elf docileness and she launched herself at the boy with a soundless snarl. Alliene hit the drow full on and slid across the floor with him, pinning his arms to the floor they skidded to a stop,
"You try my patience, boy," she hissed at him, "What did you think to do? Summon a demon and tear this place apart? Curse you and your damn honour!" Making sure she had properly overpowered him, she released his arms, but remained straddling him, so he could not rise, "What am I to do with you?" her eyes strayed to his sword, "I should have relieved you of that...no matter, I will do it now," Alliene balled her left hand into a fist and drove it hard into his stomach, causing him to curl into himself, coughing, as she stood up. She lifted the sword and examined it before walking over and kicking him hard in the stomach again, "You will learn that Matrons of First Houses are just as harsh as others, especially ones that are tired and irritated," Alliene unwrapped the sash from her robe and bound his wrists behind his back. None but a sword would cut that, and she had his only one. Tipping his head up with a foot, she gave him a cold eyed glare, "I took some time to visit my House. I retrieved a leash that we use on prisoners such as yourself, and you will be wearing it tomorrow like the male filth you are until I decide you are tame enough to be let off. You said you were going to sleep, I'm now making sure that you do," she bent down, heedless of the way her robe fell open without the sash, and pulled him up by his tunic. Dragging him over to the nearest column, she bashed his head into it once, knocking him unconcious. Muttering to herself about male intelligence, she dropped him on the nearest couch and left the room, reseting the ward as she closed the door. His sword, she dropped in her chest, locking it with her magic. Once again, she dropped her robe and fell into bed, hoping now that she could rest her mind uninterrupted.

ic:Khalraan laid back on his bed, and looked up at Tyra, he reached up to hug her, and held to her as young cub does it's mother. Then he laid back down onto his pillow, and began his slumber again, dreams of Sylquis filling his head.

[Calaethis Dragonsbane]

Calaethis awoke at the noise, and winced. He heard his cousin re-enter the room and hit the bed. He said nothing, and tried to sleep. Several hours later, he awoke. It was about one hour to dawn. He yawned, and sighed. He may as well get up. He did so, but didn't bother to dress. He walked around his room, although, it wasn't really his anymore... he spotted Alliene sleeping. Seating himself on the edge of the bed, he looked down at her, fondness in his eyes. Not wanting to disturb her, he sighed slightly and began to rise. Unfortunately, his weight on the bed, or sudden lack of it, woke his cousin, who gave him a sour look. "Its only one hour 'til dawn Ali" he said softly. "And I was only seeing if you were all right... you seemed so tired last night.." He reached out and took her hand in his own, "Sleep well cousin. I'll just go back to sleeping on the floor..."

Groaning, Alliene pushed herself up into a sitting postion, holding the sheets around herself. The window displayed a sky with high clouds, and the grey-green color of almost-dawn. She scrubbed sleep uncerimoniously out of her eyes and drug herself out of bed, pulling her silken robe toward her with a foot. The marble in this room was thankfuly covered in plush carpet, to protect the feet, though in truth marble could be pleasantly warm
"Do not worry about it cousin, since I am awake, you can return to sleep on the bed if you wish," she brushed out her hair quickly and walked to the living room. The drow was still bound on the couch, now sleeping peacefuly, after recovering from his collision with the column. She could already see a large bruise on one of his temples. Snorting and shaking her head, Alliene closed the door and found some slippers, "I'm going to fetch something to eat," she informed Calaethis. The cooks would have something, since they should already be preparing to set it out in the dining room(ooc-where the returning feast was located). She took a quick stop by Shadow's room and grinned at his and her dragon's forms snuggled together. Zachana felt her enter, however, and soon, the miniature black was on her shoulder as she made her way to the kitchens. She had better bring something up for the drow as well

Twisted thoughts stream throughout his mind, bending reality to form a plane of nonexistence. "Dalninuk.." a faint voice whispers. The tides shift and the moons become inverted. "E-e-elamshin.." it fades once again. The sun rises and falls; time stops. The drow slowly rises, turning his face to gaze into another. His eyes phase in and out, focusing on the opposing retinae.

The crescent lips form an opening, expelling, "Dos orn zhaun vel'drav." The silhouette dissipates, and the young warrior hesitantly awakens.

Translations: Dalninuk.. (Brother) ... E-e-elamshin (D-d-destiny) ... Dos orn zhaun vel'drav (You will know when)

[Calaethis Dragonsbane]

Calaethis sighed, quickly he dressed himself, and dashed after his cousin, almost slipping and tripping himself in his hurry to meet her. He finally caught up with her, and in an acid tone, he asked "Did it never occur to you that I might just like to break my fast with you? You could have waited cousin." his voice assumed its normal cheerfulness and he asked "Sleep well?"

The gaze Alliene locked on Calaethis held not a shred of warmth or humour, "You would do well if you watched your tone around me. I did not sleep well because someone was casting a spell when they shouldn't have," her nostrils flared and her cheek started to twitch, "Now, I believe there's the matter of apologizing to my sister for your slander to her name, and take a care not to point out that she corrected your attitude first. Until then, no breakfast," she stopped and glared at him, "Well, what are you waiting for? Go stand by her doorway until she comes out," Alliene whirled around and left Calaethis standing there, Zachana holding back strangled snorts of amusement.
