Yes Lennencook I already know that, thanks. I've installed all the patches available and I still have these problems! What's FAW?

I reinstalled the game with all the patches as before. So far everybody's talking to me at least. I'll also try Otilukes RS as well.
No, Aerie still saves vs spell. Does the patch fix the save game or is it just when you start new? [ 02-13-2005, 07:29 AM: Message edited by: Variol (Farseer) Elmwood ]

Are you self casting from Aerie to Aerie?
If self casting don't work I might have a solution. ok, I've got all the worky bit's done, but it's a dirty mod (any mod made on a system with mods must be considered "dirty" since the other mods will have an effect on the finished product) [ 02-13-2005, 12:29 PM: Message edited by: Q'alooaith ]

Yes, she is self-casting. The friend who introduced me to the game (our DM) has the same problem and never been able to fix it.

Dum da da da..
Yup, I've made the fix work perfectly.. Well appart from the text not being correct, and you can't tell which is self cast and which is other cast, but the basic functionality is there.. [ 02-13-2005, 07:36 PM: Message edited by: Q'alooaith ]

Ok, I restarted with a Kensai Dwarf I picked clubs as weapon 'cos some of them seemed cool. I can't remember where I got them last time. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Clubs? Yikes... I can honestly only think of one that isn't just +1 or +2, and that's in the druid grove.

While completing the Druid Grove, you will need to enter the buildings you passed just before meeting up with Cernd again. If you talked to the djinn in Trademeet before leaving, they will tell you they are looking for a fugitive. The creature they seek is a shape-shifting Rakshasa. You will find an "old woman" in the first building. This is actually the fugitive the djinn seek. I have Tactics Mod installed, so I always end up fighting 3 rakshasa in this fight. Don't know how many show up if you don't have Tactics. The fight can be very tough because the rakshasa cast a lot of spells at you - yet they are resistant to most of the spells you throw at them. Hack-n-Slash is the best way to beat them. Just surround each of them (one at a time) with your entire party and bash them with your favorite weapon. The others will cast at you during this time, but you should survive their spells long enough to finish them all off. If you get in trouble, just run outside and cast any needed healing spells, then go back in. Once you return the head of the rakshasa to the djinn, they give you a nice scimitar (which Jaheira can use if you aren't going to give her the clubs) and leave town, freeing Trademeet from their chokehold. After you visit the mayor for your reward, come out of the building and approach the first merchant to your left towards the bottom of the screen. He has another nice club for sale called Blackblood. It is +3 and does extra acid damage with each hit. Only problem is that his prices are pretty high. You can buy the club or try to steal the club (depending on your alignment). The reason these two clubs are so nice is that another Weimer Mod called "Items Upgrade" allows you to combine these two weapons into a club called Pitchwife. It is a +5 club, embeds slivers into the target AND does the extra acid damage with each hit. In other words, it combines ALL of the effects of both clubs into one. VERY nasty weapon - especially against spellcasters who may have lots of protections against fire and cold, but almost NEVER have any protection against acid. In addition, Pitchwife grants YOUR character a 25% resistance to acid. So, to make a long answer just a tad longer ( ![]()

Thanks Bro; I knew it was around there somewhere. It's just that you can't take 3 steps before another quest hits you. It's easy to get side tracked.
He's uing 2 normal clubs now and doing well with them. I have two +1 swords fir when magic is required.
