Bummer, tried updating my Windows with the service pack 2 update, but the download was corrupt. Dunno how, but it came from Microsoft, so we're not too surprised.

Anyways waiting on the SP2 disc to install that way. The screwed up SP2 install won't un-install and my computer keeps turning up corrupt sectors every day. Normally I would blame it on Western Digitals screwed up hard drive, but this didn't start happening until the update. And the update includes the disclaimer that corruption and system instability may result from messed up installs.

Oh well, if it goes that far, I'll just get a new hard drive, and depending on finances update my video card as well. I only meet the minimum requirements for video in KOTOR, and I want to at least get up to the recommended requirements.

hehe, forgot to mention the game I was talking about

Firestormalpha, what kind of net connection do you have? I ask because I had a friend of mine who ran into the same problem when trying to install that Service Pack 2, she has dial-up, and she ended up having to just have the disk mailed to her, and it worked out just fine with the disk. So hopefully the disk will help you as well.

I've got cable internet, but it goes through my houses LAN before it gets to my computer. There are possibilities for complications there, but I think it's more likely to be on my end. In the past my computer had numerous corrupted or otherwise screwed up downloads. Mostly patches and the like. But I had figured on it being McAfee's fault, after hearing that some anti-virus programs can cause such problems. In the end I don't really know. But the disc is on it's way. It should be here within a month. A bit long for snail mail, but I'm not complaining, it's 100% free after all.

Hello all! I was running around on errands today and am off to bed in a minute. We had our semi-annual inspection of jewelry to do (have warrantys that include inspecting our wedding rings, jewelry hubby has bought me etc twice a year to keep up the replacement if lost/broken maintenance agreements we bought), the we had lunch out, did some shopping and watched a bit of televesion. We also had to get another key made for the new car and that took over an hour as the keys are all computer coded and have their own computer chips in them. Wild stuff!

Yes, it was an hour! They had to reprogram all our keys at one time, apparently. It's a new Honda Accord. First new car I've had in 11 yrs so I've never had the electronic keys before. (remote access stuff) Great dealer though, they didn't play headgames when you bought the car and they have really good service. They even let you drive up into a covered 'carport' area and they take the car to the service area for you. Kinda like 'valet' service parking! LOL

Anyways waiting on the SP2 disc to install that way.
G'day FSA

getting the disc is better IMO, that way if you ever have to reformat or buy a new hard drive it is there waiting for you. Plus it's good to get something of micro$oft for free that actualy says let people use the disc for free and pass it on to all your friends and family, I had to check the label for an April first sticker

Is it possible to get SP1 on a free disc???

Good luck then, and may Jimmy be a little sharper then he was against Tottenham.

Oh yeah, he hasn't been on form lately. Two of my friends have made a bet, one a Man Utd supporter, the other a Boro. The Boro fan said that Hasselbaink and Viduka will score more than Van Nistelrooy and Rooney. Unlucky for the Boro fan is that Viduka got injured, came back for a game, got injured again and is out for a few more months.

Hopefully Jimmy will be back on form at Man City and score a few

Evening, all. Light day in the cafe, I see. Hope everyone's day has been more fun than mine.

See, last week I noticed a problem with one of my crowns. Crowns, for those young enough and lucky enough not to have any, are critters that dentists put on your teeth when your teeth get damaged and need protection, but you can still keep the tooth. To put it on, they have to shape the tooth to a nice geometric form so the crown will hold. This involves lots of medication...

Anyway, mine was throbbing a bit after eating stuff last week. It would die down after a bit, but on Friday, after buying a bottle of ibuprofen to ease the pain, I called my dentist to see about coming in. They were gone for the week when I called...

Last night, around two in the morning in my hotel room in Chicago, the throbbing started again rather mercilessly. I'd been popping ibuprofen as needed, but hadn't needed any for most of the day. At two AM, though, I needed and WANTED it...

To make a long story less long, I get to go tomorrow for an X-ray so they can see what's up. I hope they find something quickly...

Moral of the story: Even though it looks cool when someone does it, don't open beer or pop bottles with your teeth. It just ain't worth it...

And with that, I'm going to finish in here, get out there, and kill something.... in Ehb
