i've been doing some pondering lately. mostly about existence. like....why do hotdogs exist? i'm not sure the answer since i sat erilyn down with two hotdogs (one cold that she stole and one hot and cut up) for lunch. she is not eating them, she is eating the last bits of formula out of a can i haven't thrown away yet. so why do hotdogs exist? if she isn't eating them what is their purpose?

of course this could all be metaphorical. but i'm not going to point that out right now, cause then if no one gets the metaphor why does it exist? i don't want to create anything that has no point in existing.

I don't remember the Out, Out one...although it sounds vaguely familiar. I love "Birches" and "The road less traveled" and several others. Usually the country life/scene images are striking for me, especially when he uses them as metaphors for life in general or some decision to be made. [img]smile.gif[/img]
