I hope you will be alive to keep that promise, man.
Sadly enough...I have to do what I have to do.

Chain Lightning
Evocation [Electricity]

Level: Air 6, Sor/Wiz 6

Components: V, S, F

Casting Time: 1 standard action

Range: Long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level)

Targets: One primary target, plus one secondary target/level (each of which must be within 30 ft. of the primary target)

Duration: Instantaneous

Saving Throw: Reflex half

Spell Resistance: Yes

This spell creates an electrical discharge that begins as a single stroke commencing from your fingertips. Unlike lightning bolt, chain lightning strikes one object or creature initially, then arcs to other targets.

The bolt deals 1d6 points of electricity damage per caster level (maximum 20d6) to the primary target. After it strikes, lightning can arc to a number of secondary targets equal to your caster level (maximum 20). The secondary bolts each strike one target and deal half as much damage as the primary one did (rounded down).

Each target can attempt a Reflex saving throw for half damage. You choose secondary targets as you like, but they must all be within 30 feet of the primary target, and no target can be struck more than once. You can choose to affect fewer secondary targets than the maximum.
This spell is listed from the 3.5 version. After looking into it, I discovered that Baulders Gate 2 used something different. Instead of 1d6*level, it was 1d6*(every two levels). Therefore, I will be using the adjusted dice of 8d6 for my roll for the primary target and then in a decending order for secondary victims. (7d6, 6d6, 5d6)

Saving throws are also being considered seriously.

ah man, I remember in the good old days when that spell would roast half the party (caster had no control once the spell was unleashed, it would go from target to target starting at the closest one to the initial victim, and could actually arc back and hit the caster)

Actually, after talking about it with Cyril, I have decided to play it different than the way I just described it above. Watch for it.

Heh, the chain lightning spell has always made a very strong case for using miniatures, or at the very least mapping out locations on paper before and after casting it.

It's sad to see Marcos go, he was true to his ideals, and acted nobly. Legolas, I salute you and your roleplaying.

Great death post Legolas! Andrion presents his deepest regrets of not having tried the peaceful way of taking care of Larry Silverfall.

Now for Vincent and Silt...but first that pesky skeleton...
