(She gets out a resurrection scroll from a pocket that wan't there, before, reads it over the gnome's body. When he recovers, she questions him.) "See, I told you that they were getting antsy. Now, tell us."

GNOME (Looks about, panic-stricken) "All right, I shall tell you. Slatkin fled through the machine, through the purple portal. He is hiding on Mechanus."

JETT (Looks up from cleaning his fingernails with a greensteel knife)"You had better be right, Gnome, because you are going to be the first one through the portal. And, unless you are right, you will have a much less-merciful death than the one that you just had."

Grabs hold of the gnome again

"I'll hang on to the runt - now which way do we go from here?"

He proceeds to tie a leather strip tightly around the gnomes neck.

He gives the leather strip a yank. "Just behave yourself gnome"

ARUELLA(She leads the group back to the machine, and they enter the purple portal. We reappear in a bright world where the smell of oil is just perceptible. The sky is cloudless and yellow. A giant conveyor belt runs by at a moderate speed, flanked on either side by a slower belt to allow access to the faster belt. Modrons and droids are seen entering and leaving the belt. In the near distance, you can see another belt going in the opposite direction. Standing in front of you is a modron, apparently processing something.)
