Even reputable martial arts instructors will tell you that getting into a fight with someone like that hurts only you, even if you win. Like Attalus said, it gets better.

kitcat has decided to be clingy this morning; he's curled up in my lap, making typing and drinking coffee a little awkward.

Hey all. Someguy, I get bullied too, its really distressing. Say nothing and they'll think you're boring. Though their method of bullying was just yelling "Kyyyyyyyyraaaaaaaaaaa!" in a really stupid voice, and, since that's my DAMN NAME, gave me the perfect opportunity to just say, "Hey, glad you know my name now, it only took you four years!" Mind you, I swear, on a good day you could look through their ears and see daylight out the other side...
Oh, and another of their insults, their "prize" one that they're probably most proud of? "uuuh...shut up!" (cue gorilla like grunts and cronies faithfully laughing.)

Kaltia, what you are describing is classic "outsider taunting," common in school and in the military and almost unknown, elsewhere. It is because an in-group identifies itself by excluding others, and they proceed to emphasize the outsider's status, mainly to reinforce their feelings of belonging to the group, reducing anxieties. The accepted way to respond is indifference, since that denies them their feeling of uniqueness, casting doubt on the value of the association. You are British, pretend they don't exist, which I believe is known as "the cut direct." Anyway, you are associated with us.
