lol Larry, the 2nd Ed rules for parrying give you half your level as an AC bonus (ie for a lvl 8 character it would be a -4 AC bonus), warriors receive an additional +1 bonus.

That's probably a bit more technical than we need to be here.

If we continue micromanage every step of this melee it's never going to end. Let's try and keep things simple where possible so we can wrap this up. Other areas of the game have been put on hold a bit too long as it is.

The way I see it, the descriptions about dodgeing and looking for the right time are simply describing a standard combat where each warrior fights to the best of his skill and ability.
If you want to do anything special like using parry or expertise, call it.

Of course, that's not to say the DM can't apply bonusses or penalties in the event of particularly brilliant or opposite actions.

I will have posts up for the skeleton today and also for the scrap between the mage and owl-man.

I agree with Cyril, that I am unable to calculate every movement with D&D legal accuracy. I consider this a "softcore" game.

Don't worry...it will still be a fair game. I just have to adjust the rules to my knowledge limits, and the limits of the patience of all of us.

Due to a recommendation, it is time to bring back a much missed character. A favorite of mine. One of my more successive ones at least.

May Lady Fairhand bless her with the wisdom she needs to serve the members of Ironworks once again.

One blessing coming up ......

May the shining
of the ever-glowing sun
guide thee always.

May the brightness
and the piercing warmth
of its beams
dispel all cast
of shadow
from thy mind.

And may the gold
of its sure
and steady burning
grant thee clarity of sight,
generosity of heart,
and sustain thee
that the dawning
of a true
unfailing goodness
take place in thy life.

For those unfamiliar with her from the last game, Ahuranni Fairhand, Ana's deity is a goddess of light and life.

The only person that has not posted in this last round is Vincent, who no longer suffers the Stun effect. All other posters have moved and have been told what their moves caused.

To move things along, I will say that Vincent was still recovering his faculties after the Stun wore off, and advance everyone into the next round so that new moves can be made. Look for the post in the game.
