GALADRIA (They set out later that day. As they ride, she turns to her superior) "Sir Blandamour, I needs must tell you something about this mission that might affect it. This Anomen that we seek, I may know of him. If it is the same man, not just one of the same name, you should know that he once made me what I considered an indecent proposal. I need not tell you that I refused him, most properly maidenly, as were fitting. But, that soured relations betwixt us, and, though we were comrades at that time, he never once spoke to me except for duty, and that seldom. For which I were glad. But, I would not leave a fellow member of the Order in peril, be he ne'er so base. How say you?"

BLANDAMOUR (He freezes, and his face tingles at the thought of his ...friend...comrade...being so importuned. He feels an odd ache in the pit of his stomach.) "My Lady, I should be ashamed of leaving any man in the clutches of a vampire, like that one that we once faced so long ago. Especially a fellow member of the Order, even though he is a mere squire. But, I shall not hide from you that I view his conduct as most foul, and if we should chance to rescue him and he in any condition to defend himself, I shall seek him out at first opportunity to challenge him, and make him prove his actions upon my body. It is a poor reflection upon his discipline that a squire should even broach such an possibility to a superior, and you a belted knight. And to take such a proper rebuke and reply with insolence and mopery, yes, that is within my warrant as a Knight Banneret of the Order."

GALADRIA (to Blandamour) "Nay, Sir, you must not take it so. We are under orders for his rescue, so rescue him we shall. But he is a mere squire and none too skilful, as I recall, and would stand no chance against you. Perhaps he has learned somewhat, in the years since we last met, and will mend his ways. If not, a thrashing, not a duel, would be in order, methinks."

~She rides silently along behind the two, lost in her own thoughts, allowing their conversation to impose every once in awhile so she can keep up with it, but at the moment is scanning the area covertly, checking for any danger. She feels a light wind come up, and glances up once, her amber eyes flashing briefly, then looks back at the mane of her horse. She grins.........~

GALADRIA (They ride into the little village of Wichy Wood and seek out the inn. Entering there, they go up to the bar. Blandamour is carefully scanning the patrons for any sign of danger, and she approaches the innkeeper.) "Good even to you, Innkeeper. I hight Lady Galadria, a knight of the Most Noble Order of the Radiant Heart. My Preceptor has told me of your most grievous case, and my companions and I are sent to aid you. What can you tell us of Vampires herebouts?"
INNKEEPER "Good even to you , my Lady, and your companions. It were good of you to come for our problem, small as it might seem to outsiders. We are missing several around these parts. The first to go missing was the young girl, Syla. Beautiful, she was, with her long black hair and her ivory skin. No one has seeen her for months, and that house of hers deserted. But last week, an elderly farmer was killed, and we know now that it's a vampire. The old man's wife has only given us a garbled description of the creature."
GALADRIA "Then we must interview her. Tell us where she might be found."

While they are talking to the InnKeeper inside, she walks back outside, and stares off into the distance. She hears two wolf calls, simultaneously and listens.....~flashes of their thoughts come to her, in random pictures.....(a clearing in the forest), (small footprints by a creek), (a cave in a hillside)~ She pulls off one glove with her teeth, and pulls out the onyx amulet with the moonstone in it, setting it in her upturned palm, on top of the runes that are carved into her skin. The stone starts to glow, matching the glow in her eyes, and she slowly turns, consulting the stone minutely............

GALADRIA (she and Blandamour come out of the tavern, and see TAO apparantly in a trance, and they wait patiently to hear if she has anything to impart to them.)

She turns to Galadria and Blandamour, putting the amulet back in her belt, and quickly re-gloving her hand. Her eyes still glow faintly as she looks at them. "The Vampire is cloaked from my sight, but I can see where she has been, and the wolves can smell her...". She sighs and looks towards the east of town. She raises a hand pointing, "that way".........

GALADRIA (They quickly mount their horses and ride East. They round a bend and suddenly confront a rotting cottage. The wind is from the east, and it carries a carrion smell. She casts the spell, Detect Evil, and is almost overwhelmed by the reaction coming from that cottage. They halt and dismount, moving carefully toward the cottage. She lightly touches her Negative Plane Protection Amulet, that she treasues so. Sir Blandamour had given it to her years ago, after a battle that had taken place on her birthday. He had seen it on a corpse and bent over to take it up. She had come closer to see, and she still recalled how his face had lit up, then shuttered again, at the sight of her. "Here, Galadria," he had said, "It's your natal annivesary, I hear, today. This thing has obviously come to my hand for it to be a gift to you. Certes, I've no use for such things." She wondered if he had any memory of doing that.)
